**** MORNING SURF UP-DATE **** G’day crew and thanks for stopping by for the baliwaves.com daily (7/7) Bali surf and weather report . Well for starters here’s a few fresh photos to check out that Scott captured up at Canggu yesterday morning around 7.30am. As you can see surfing conditions were still clean and glassy at that time but by 8.30am the wind had started blowing on-shore coming straight outta the West. Scott has also thrown up another READERS REPORT along with some more photos for ya’s ta check.
This morning’s 6.30am surf recon of the Outer Reefs revealed wave height has droped back into the 1-2ft range (yo-yo effect) between Kuta Reef and Airport Left . The wind was already on-shore, coming outta the West @ 3-7knot . While the tide was on the make for a 2.0mtr Full Moon High around 10.00am. While the Low Tide is gunna be a 0.5mtr around 4.00pm. Not much worth surfing on the Outer Reefs this morning and for that matter probably not much worth surfing right along Bali ’s West coast this morning. Maybe Uluwatu would have the odd 3-3ft+ wave down on the Main Peak but with the wind outta the West it wouldn’t be too hot. Maybe over on the East Coast at Nusa Dua or at Green Ball’s you could find some cleaner waves worth a paddle.
Weather wise out there today she’s looking good for another hot and humid type beach day, where the water is gunna be the best place to be, Clear blue sky so the temperature will be ranging around the 31-33 degree Celsius mark by midday.
Changing dollars to Rupiah out on the streets of Kuta you’ll find exceptionally good holiday value with – 1AU$=Rp8,200 – 1US$=Rp9,175 – 1NZ$=Rp7,600
Now on a serious note ; I’m stoked that our Scholarship Program for underprivileged Balinese kids has done so well, THANKS BIG TIME to all the big hearted people who have got behind us and helped out. Now I’ve got a new program that I’d like to kick off. One that we can control and keep constant progress up-dates on. I’m talking about kinda adopting a school up in one of the area’s of Bali where there’s no cash flow from tourism and hardly any from anything else for that matter. The kids don’t have to pay school fees, because their Mum and Dad’s don’t have any money to pay. Half, or more of the kids that attend don’t even have shoes to wear to school and walk up to 4km’s bare footed or in rubber thongs just to be there. Now in my opinion this is a worthy project for us to think about. What I’d like to start off with is trying to raise enough cash to get electricity hooked up to the school, with electricity we can then look at a lot of other basic stuff, like a water pump etc etc etc. Over the next few days I’m going to try and set up a page with more information on this project. But please if anyone would like to help me out with this noble cause don’t hesitate to send me an email via the “CONTACT” link at the bottom of this page, thanks.
Special Thanks to, Bryan & Trish Ryder, Rosemary Ryan, Team Panadol, Karina Pols, Ron Samuel, Gordon Black, Jesper Stockholm for already offering support ! So come on folks we only 30-40 of us to chip in and we can get a school hooked up with something we all pretty much take for granted, electricity. Our target neded is Rp10,000,000. that’s around AU$1,250.
Have a good one what ever you’ve got happening out there and stay tuned to the one and only Original Bali Surf and Weather website.
