**** MORNING SURF UP-DATE **** Good moaning surfers and welcome back for the baliwaves.com daily surf and weather report . Ok ok, so I was down on the beach sussing out surfing conditions on the Outer Reefs at 7.00am . The wind was already fresh outta the WNW @ 3-6knot and the tide was heading for a 0.4mtr 8.00am Low . But there was roughly 1-3ft+ of swell hitting between Kuta Reef and Airport Left. Middle Reef was the only surfable option outta the big 3 and there was a few head to head high plus waves running for 30-40yrds. Scott finaly made it up to Keramas around 7.30am after following some verbal directions from yours truelly. Scott reckoned the tide was still too low up at Keramas for now but will be ok around 9.00-10.00am with wave height in the 2-3ft range. So we’ll have some photos for ya’s later this afternoon when I get back from what I have to do today, go fishing. Yesterday I finally got ya’s those 2 New Video clips from Uluwatu loaded onto the baliwaves and worth a look when there’s the odd wave or two that runs for 20-25 seconds with workable wall all the way. Ok then have a good one and take care out there cause we want to be seing ya’s all over here on the happy little holiday island of Bali sooner or later.
Weather wise , no rain last night, and no sign of any out there this morning. Loads of blue sky and sunshine and we’ll be looking for the shade come midday with the mercury expected to bust into the mid 30’s on the Celsius scale. The water temp to seems to have crept up another notch and more like 25 degree’s Celsius.
Ok our first objective of aquiring the funds to hook up electricity to the school is done . So a huge pat on the back to all of you that have already contributed or in the process of !!! But there’s still a bit more we can do for the school so if you are interested take a look at the Info page on the school project over on the menue bar.
I’m stoked that our Scholarship Program for underprivileged Balinese kids has done so well, THANKS BIG TIME to all the big hearted people who have got behind us and helped out. Now I’ve got a new program that I’d like to kick off. One that we can control and keep constant progress up-dates on. I’m talking about kinda adopting a school up in one of the area’s of Bali where there’s no cash flow from tourism and hardly any from anything else for that matter. The kids don’t have to pay school fees, because their Mum and Dad’s don’t have any money to pay. Half, or more of the kids that attend don’t even have shoes to wear to school and walk up to 4km’s bare footed or in rubber thongs just to be there. Now in my opinion this is a worthy project for us to think about. What I’d like to start off with is trying to raise enough cash to get electricity hooked up to the school, with electricity we can then look at a lot of other basic stuff, like a water pump etc etc etc.
Have a good one what ever you’ve got happening out there and stay tuned to the one and only Original Bali Surf and Weather website .
