Well this morning I was down checking the surf and the wind was already up with me at 6:30am, but it had more west in it so headed over to Sarangan to see what was happening over there. On arrival there was about 20 surfers in the water enjoying the clean off shore conditions. Waves were coming through in the waist to head high range maybe slightly bigger on the odd set. The tide was still running out at the time so I imagine that earlier it would have been even better. I hung around for about three and half hours and enjoyed the surfing that was happening. There was no real standouts in the water but everyone was getting waves and having a good time, from what I could see. As the tide turned and started to come back in I noticed a few of the local professional surfers had turned up to have a dig. Conditions were still ok but with the wind turning slightly to the south there was chop forming on the water and making conditions less clean. Overall it looks like it might have been the spot to be this morning, as the crowd only varied beteen 20-30 surfers all morning.
