**** MORNING SURF UP-DATE **** Good morning crew and welcome back to the baliwaves.com daily surf and weather report. And what a good looking day it is out there for the lucky bastards here on holidays. I did our first surf check on conditions at 7.30am and there is still plenty of waves breaking on the Outer Reefs here in down town Tuban .
The tide was just coming off the bottom of a 0.2mtr Low tide and the wind was coming lightly outta the North at 2-3knot . So with that information you guys know it was still too shallow to surf at Kuta Reef and Airport Left / Right . But around mid to late morning there’s gunna be plenty of fun little shoulder to head high plus waves breaking on those sections. For now Middle Reef was peeling off clean head to head high plus waves, being the low tide surf spot on the Outer Reefs . As soon as I get this done that’s where you’ll find old Slim. With this light wind we’ve got this morning there would have to be some nice waves breaking down at Uluwatu for the die hards staying down on the Bukit as well. Our good friend Scott Thompson covered a lotta miles for ya’s yesterday and these current photos were taken over at Serangan and Scotto reckons Serangan had the cleanest conditions. I dunno what he’s upto today but I’ve got a feeling he’ll have some more photos for us to check out later on. So far I’ve managed to only get 2 new video clips up for ya’s but I’ll have the 3rd one on line in another hour or two ok. That’s about it for now cause I’ve got surfing on my mind . Weather wise , what can I say but roll on that blue sky and sweet sweet sunshine. Heading for another classic day along Bali ’s beaches.
I’m stoked that our Scholarship Program for underprivileged Balinese kids has done so well, THANKS BIG TIME to all the big hearted people who have got behind us and helped out. Now I’ve got a new program that I’d like to kick off. One that we can control and keep constant progress up-dates on. I’m talking about kinda adopting a school up in one of the area’s of Bali where there’s no cash flow from tourism and hardly any from anything else for that matter. The kids don’t have to pay school fees, because their Mum and Dad’s don’t have any money to pay. Half, or more of the kids that attend don’t even have shoes to wear to school and walk up to 4km’s bare footed or in rubber thongs just to be there. Now in my opinion this is a worthy project for us to think about. What I’d like to start off with is trying to raise enough cash to get electricity hooked up to the school, with electricity we can then look at a lot of other basic stuff, like a water pump etc etc etc.
Ok our first objective of aquiring the funds to hook up electricity to the school is done . So a huge pat on the back to all of you that have already contributed or in the process of !!! But there’s still a bit more we can do for the school so if you are interested take a look at the Info page on the school project over on the menue bar.
