**** MORNING SURF UP-DATE **** Hello people and thanks for taking the time to check out the baliwaves.com daily surf and weather report for Bali this last day of November. Hey and we can only hope that December brings a a few more quality waves than what this month has. Well as ya’s can see in these latest photos I’ve loaded for ya’s, and not too mention to also keep the location variety flowing. The boys and I from Home Base Bali opted for a few small but fun sized waves out at Kuta Reef yesterday. Yep, wave height was lucky to be pushing 3ft or head high on the sets but every now and then you could get one to run for a 100yrds give or take. Plus the fact that there were only 4 other surfers in the water with us.
This mornings 6.00am surf recon of the Outer Reefs here in Tuban showed a further drop in wave height between Kuta Reef and Airport Left . The tide was still dropping down for a 0.3mtr Low set for around 8.00am with the wind coming outta the WNW @ 2-4knot . The tide was too low and the waves too small for a paddle on Kuta Reef or Airports with only 1 footers breaking on those sections. Middle Reef did have the odd waist high set wave breaking and if you were really keen ya could find something to ride out there. Maybe over on the East Coast between Nyang Nyangs and Nusa Dua ya might find a few 3 footers breaking with clean wind. Looking at the swell prediction charts for this region and they are showing a slight boost in wave height sometime through this coming weekend. Ok that’s about there’s all to say about todays waves, so have a good one what eva ya got happening today and get ready for the weekend on baliwaves.com.
Weather wise today here in down town Tuban it’s just another summer day down along the beach. Warm to hot temperature on the sand, while the water temp has jumped another notch and currently around the 24-25 degree Celsius mark.
I’m stoked that our Scholarship Program for underprivileged Balinese kids has done so well, THANKS BIG TIME to all the big hearted people who have got behind us and helped out. Now I’ve got a new program that I’d like to kick off. One that we can control and keep constant progress up-dates on. I’m talking about kinda adopting a school up in one of the area’s of Bali where there’s no cash flow from tourism and hardly any from anything else for that matter. The kids don’t have to pay school fees, because their Mum and Dad’s don’t have any money to pay. Half, or more of the kids that attend don’t even have shoes to wear to school and walk up to 4km’s bare footed or in rubber thongs just to be there. Now in my opinion this is a worthy project for us to think about. What I’d like to start off with is trying to raise enough cash to get electricity hooked up to the school, with electricity we can then look at a lot of other basic stuff, like a water pump etc etc etc.
Ok our first objective of aquiring the funds to hook up electricity to the school is done . So a huge pat on the back to all of you that have already contributed or in the process of !!! But there’s still a bit more we can do for the school so if you are interested take a look at the Info page on the school project over on the menue bar.
We have also secured our goal of providing 100 English / Indonesian dictionaries . So I’ll be heading back up to the school to hand them over and to get ya’s another progress report on how we are doing. So keep an eye on the School Project page .
