**** MORNING SURF UP-DATE **** Good morning folks and welcome back to the one and only baliwaves.com daily surf and weather report . Well what a day yesterday, firstly old Huey made a dick outta me by changing the wind direction back around to the ESE-SE and off-shore between Legian and Uluwatu. Then shortly after my antique lap top shit itself when it’s hard dish just gave up and died on me. So I spent just about all day yesterday in Denpasar trying desperately to rivive her, but to no avail. So bear with me for awhile as I lot everything that was one that hard disk…
Ok, it happened and it’s done. So I’m over it. This morning’s 6.00am surf check of the Outer Reefs here in Tuban is looking exactly the same as it did yesterday. All but flat . Nothing really even remotely worth thinking about going out for, wave height between Kuta Reef and Airport Left is still down in the 6 inch to 1 foot range. Maybe up along the beach bre aks there might be the odd waist high wave while the tide is still in for a 1.7mtr high (7-8am). Down south on the bukit the only place that would have a bump on it would be at Uluwatu where you’d possibly find some 1-2ft+ action. Hopefully we should have something a little bigger come the weekend.

Weather wise well it’s a complete turn around on yesterdays overcast and grey conditions. This morning the sky dawned revealing good old clear blue. So we are gunna be in for a very hot and humid one today. Right now at 8.45am the outside temperature would easily be sitting on 27 degree’s Celsius, and the humidity level would be up in the early 90% range.
I’d also like to say thanks all the considerate surfers & families that have locked in to our commitment to help a school get hooked up with electricity . We have almost reached our goal, that is if everyone who has pledged makes it through. So hopefully by early next week I’ll be taking a fat wad of Rupiah up to hand over to the school committee !!! I’ll also be making a point of making a new page on baliwaves.com today so we can document the progress up at the “ Datah Primary School ” Thanks again for everyone’s patience and support ! For any new viewers to the baliwaves the paragraph below is a bit of a rundown on our school project.
Ok I’m just waiting on Troy our technician to load up our school project page and it should happen any minute now. But I can tell you all that our first objective of aquiring the funds to hook up electricity to the school is done . So a huge pat on the back to all of you that have already contributed or in the process of !!!
I’m stoked that our Scholarship Program for underprivileged Balinese kids has done so well, THANKS BIG TIME to all the big hearted people who have got behind us and helped out. Now I’ve got a new program that I’d like to kick off. One that we can control and keep constant progress up-dates on. I’m talking about kinda adopting a school up in one of the area’s of Bali where there’s no cash flow from tourism and hardly any from anything else for that matter. The kids don’t have to pay school fees, because their Mum and Dad’s don’t have any money to pay. Half, or more of the kids that attend don’t even have shoes to wear to school and walk up to 4km’s bare footed or in rubber thongs just to be there. Now in my opinion this is a worthy project for us to think about. What I’d like to start off with is trying to raise enough cash to get electricity hooked up to the school, with electricity we can then look at a lot of other basic stuff, like a water pump etc etc etc. Over the next few days I’m going to try and set up a page with more information on this project.
