**** MORNING SURF UP-DATE **** Good morning crew and welcome back to the baliwaves daily surf and weather report. Well not much change surfwise on the Outer Reefs this morning with wave height still down in the 1-2ft+ range between Kuta Reef and Airport Left . Maybe just a smidgen bigger than what was available yesterday. But surfing conditions are reasonably clean and glassy with the wind still only light and variable at this stage (8.30am).
The tide is still falling down for a 0.7mtr Low around 11.00am . I suppose there are a few little waves to surf on Kuta Reef and Airport Left , and when the tide bottoms out for the Low Middle Reef should have the odd waist to shoulder high wave peeling off. My mate Scott Thompson sms’d from down on location at Uluwatu where he’s trying to shoot us some new photos to check out. Scotto reckons wave height down at Ulu is only just pushing 3ft or head high on the set waves on the Main Peak . He also mentioned that at 8.00am there were already 30+ surfers in the water spread between Temple ’s through to the Peak. I also received some info from over on the East Coast at Serangan where wave height is only in the 2ft (waist to shoulder high) range but with a solid crowd of 40+ surfers at 8.00am. Nusa Dua would probably be worth checking out and you’d more than likely find a few 3 footers breaking down there. But anyway hang in there and we’ll have some photos of Uluwatu for ya’s after lunch. I’ve also got some new video footage from Serangan yesterday and I’ll check that out shortly and see if it’s worth cutting ya’s a new clip.
Weather wise the sky is clear of any cloud and its gunna be another hot and humid day for all the holiday goers here in Bali .

I’m stoked that our Scholarship Program for underprivileged Balinese kids has done so well, THANKS BIG TIME to all the big hearted people who have got behind us and helped out. Now I’ve got a new program that I’d like to kick off. One that we can control and keep constant progress up-dates on. I’m talking about kinda adopting a school up in one of the area’s of Bali where there’s no cash flow from tourism and hardly any from anything else for that matter. The kids don’t have to pay school fees, because their Mum and Dad’s don’t have any money to pay. Half, or more of the kids that attend don’t even have shoes to wear to school and walk up to 4km’s bare footed or in rubber thongs just to be there. Now in my opinion this is a worthy project for us to think about. What I’d like to start off with is trying to raise enough cash to get electricity hooked up to the school, with electricity we can then look at a lot of other basic stuff, like a water pump etc etc etc.
Ok our first objective of aquiring the funds to hook up electricity to the school is done . So a huge pat on the back to all of you that have already contributed or in the process of !!! But there’s still a bit more we can do for the school so if you are interested take a look at the Info page on the school project over on the menue bar.
We have also secured our goal of providing 100 English / Indonesian dictionaries . So I’ll be heading back up to the school to hand them over and to get ya’s another progress report on how we are doing. So keep an eye on the School Project page .
Have a good one what ever you’ve got happening out there and stay tuned to the one and only Original Bali Surf and Weather website .
