Well this morning I slept in and didn’t get a chance to check the waves till about 6:45am. It was showing a drop in wave hieght and very light winds. Initially I was headed to Canggu but as I got up to legian I saw that a flag on a work site showed the wind had already shifted back the other way. So I doubled back and made my way to Uluwatu. On arrival there was not much happening at all with maybe 30 surfers in the water spread between temples and the peak. The tide was still dropping and the wind was coming up. I almost bailed and headed home except I got a message that a mate I hadn’t seen in a while was on his way down as Serangan was only 2ft when he checked it there. So I hung around turned on the ipod and waited to see what would happen. Wave hieght was pushing 3ft on the biggest set waves and breaking mainly on the peak or little more towards temples actually. Everyone got waves as the crowd only varied between 20-30 all morning. Don’t know where they were cause if it ain’t at Ulu’s there ain’t much anywhere else. As the tide dropped it cleaned up and there was a few nice rides had by the lucky few. Not a big day, or perfect for that matter but if you were at Uluwatu you were certianly having abit of fun.
