**** AFTERNOON SURF UP-DATE **** Good afternoon crew and you’ll have to excuse these afternoon surf reports. The only reason being is that as ya’s know it’s the Wet Season here in Bali, and all our surfing of late has been happening over on the other side of the island. So by the time we get ourselves over there get a few waves and photos then get back here to Tuban, edit and type etc etc it’s already late afternoon.
Just outta habit I went down for a look at Outer Reefs here in Tuban this morning at 7.00am and needless to say it was just a big wind blown mess out there between Kuta Reef and Airport Lefts. All the way down to Uluwatu for that matter. Wave height was only a weak lookin 1-1ft+ anyway. So the boys from Home Base and I decided on taking a look at Serangan over by Benoa Harbour . Surfing conditions were smooth and clean with the aid of a 8-10knot off-shore Westerly . As ya’s can see wave height was only at best breaking in the 1-2ft+ range but it was perfect for the crew out there still trying to find their feet at surfing. I was pretty surprised to only find the number of surfers in the water was around 30, as Serangan usually attracts a lot more. We hung out over there till 2.30pm just as the wind shifted to the SSW and increased in strength upta 15-17knot . I dunno where we will be heading tomorrow but it’s a big chance we’ll be heading off to a different location so drop by again tomorrow arvo for the latest on Bali ’s surfing and weather conditions ok.
Weather wise , well here in Tuban it’s been overcast with scattered showers for the majority of it. Over at Serangan it was just overcast. But looking further to South towards Nusa Dua there was some serious lightning and rain.
Well Thanks to all the kind hearted folks that have helped us improve the conditions up at the Datah Primary School ! We are making some real progress with the objectives we made, so make sure you check out our progress at the school via the “SCHOOL PROJECT” page over on the menue bar .
