**** AFTERNOON SURF UP-DATE **** Hello surfers and welcome to the weekend on baliwaves.com the only daily (7/7) Bali surf and weather report on the net. Well it was a grey and damp start to the day at 6.00AM as we were strapping our boards on the roof of the rental here at Home Base . But the crew was keen so we headed East in search of some surf. Our first stop was Secrets … at Padang Galak. But one look at the half foot of cross-shore slop and we were back on the highway to Serangan . We pulled into the car park around 7.00AM and were happy enough to see there was still some shoulder high waves with the occasional head high freaky. Here the wind was also a bit cross-shore at first but by 8.30AM the wind turned more straight Westerly and clean off-shore . There some fun left shaped left and right handers peeling off but crowd wise it was a joke by 10.00AM with more than 100 surfers in the water. But by Japanese standards it was probably all time going off, so ya can’t blame em for wanting to have some fun too. I’m thinking come tomorrow and wave height is gunna be taking another kick in the gut and dropping off even more. But I’ll let ya’s know when I type up the Sunday Session .
Weather wise like I mentioned there was still some rain about through the early morning, but the sky has cleared and now at 1.00PM we have a mainly blue sky and a warm to hot midday temperature in the high twenties on the Celsius scale.
Surfboard Tax : Look crew I’m kinda getting tired of answering questions about surfboard taxes on airlines. 1/ there is no surfboard tax to take your surfbopards outta Bali . That was just same lame arse propaganda. 2/ Simpely check with your travel agent and ask them if your preferred airline charges to take surfboards. If they do, then pick another one. Too easy.
Well Thanks to all the kind hearted folks that have helped us improve the conditions up at the Datah Primary School ! We are making some real progress with the objectives we made, so make sure you check out our progress at the school via the “SCHOOL PROJECT” page over on the menue bar .
