**** MORNING SURF UP-DATE **** Howdy folks and welcome back for another week of baliwaves . This morning I was down checking out conditions on the Outer Re efs here in Tuban at 6.00AM. Still no improvement in wave size out there with only around half a foot at best breaking between Kuta Reef and Airport Left . But absolutely no wind present making surfing conditions clean and glassy on a rising tide .
So as I mentioned yesterday I headed South for Uluwatu . If there wasn’t gunna be any waves down at Ulu then there’s not gunna be any anywhere in Indonesia . As ya’s can see in these latest photos to come outta Bali wave height on Ulu’s Main Peak was breaking in the waist to head high range . I was stoked to get back down to Uluwatu, I arrived on the scene at 7.30AM to find a total of 8 surfers in the water and when I packed up at 9.00AM the crowd was down to 3 surfers. It’s always a bit of a shock to the system hanging out down there at this time of the year as the usually busy cliff side cafe’s full of surfers through the Dry Season are deserted except for the seasoned locals.
Weather wise today it’s clear and sunny outside and a perfect beach day coming on for the beach lovers. It’s a pretty safe bet that the mercury will easily bust into the low 30’s Celsius by midday.
Swell Prediction ; Well after keeping a close eye on all the weather and swell prediction sites for the Indian Ocean there’s still no real swell in view for us. What has been happening down in the Indian is nothing but big High pressure cells blocking and spinning away any swell producing Low pressure cells. So really all we can ecpect is more of the similar sized waves we have had over the last week again for the next week ahead of us. I do hope I’m wrong.
Well Thanks to all the kind hearted folks that have helped us improve the conditions up at the Datah Primary School ! We are making some real progress with the objectives we made, so make sure you check out our progress at the school via the “SCHOOL PROJECT” page over on the menue bar .
