**** AFTERNOON SURF UP-DATE **** Hello crew and thanks for sticking around for the run down on todays surfing and weather conditions here on the original Bali surf report website . Well as usual I was down at the beach for the 6.30am surf recon of the Outer Reefs . Wave height seems to have dropped off in size between Kuta Reef and Airports but there was still a few head high waves breaking on Middle Reef and at Airport Left . The tide was still pretty low at that time of the morning and the wind was coming outta the NNW @ 1-3knot . The surfers staying with me here at Home Base again opted for a wave on Airport Left and reckoned it was pretty much the same as yesterday, but slightly smaller.
Me I thought I had better high tail it down to Uluwatu to see what was happening down there. I didn’t arrive on the scene until 10.30am but was happy to see some solid 3-4ft+ set waves peeling across the Main Peak section . The wind had turned further to the WSW by then but stil only in the 2-4knot range and surfing conditions were still clean and glassy . As ya’s can see in these latest photos the stand out surfer was non other than local ripper “Bol” who ride’s for Volcom Indonesia. The tide had also filled in considerably so there wasn’t anything breaking down along the Racetrack section. But further down the line at Temple’s there were some nice shaped 2-3 footers peeling off for the 10-12 surfers in the water. Coming home past Padang Padang and Impossible’s the tide was way to full for either location and only barely a ripple breaking.
Weather wise today it’s just been another perfect day for the beach, or for that matter hanging the washing out on the line. Well perfect for anything other than sitting in an office…
Swell Prediction : Well I’m thinking over the next coming week we should see slightly more action than what we did over the last 7 day period. But still it’s going to be under the influence of the “yo-yo” effect, up one day and down the next.
Well Thanks to all the kind hearted folks that have helped us improve the conditions up at the Datah Primary School ! We are making some real progress with the objectives we made, so make sure you check out our progress at the school via the “SCHOOL PROJECT” page over on the menue bar .
