Bali Surf Report – February 17 2008

AFTERNOON SURF UP-DATE **** Hello friends and thanks for tuning in for the baliwaves.com daily surf and weather report . This morning the boys from Home Base and I loaded the rental up and headed straight for Secrets over on Bali’s East Coast . As ya’s can see in these latest photos I snapped wave height was rolling through in the 2-3ft+ range. While the wind was blowing cross/off-shore outta the SW @ 10-15knot . I’m pretty much sure that woulda been the same scenario going down at most locations on the East Coast today. Keramas woulda possible been a touch bigger but Rusty (Indonesia) were holding a grommet contest up there today.

I’m hoping for even less wind tomorrow and the chance to get out to another different location . But we’ll have to wait and see what the day brings first. Ok I have sent the 3^rd Progress Report from the Datah School Project on to Troy to get loaded onto the School Project page. Plus more good news we should have our ’08 tide charts visible on line sometime next week.

Weather wise today it was good to have the sun shining over us. Over on the black sanded beach of Secrets the temperature woulda easily busted 30 degree’s on the Celsius scale by midday.

Swell prediction (16^th-21^st), well as long as these bloody T.C’s are spinning down below Indonesia all we can really count on is very short period wind generated swell. But in around another 4 days or so we should see a solid swell hitting our reafs and beachs.
