Its been a real beach day for me thats for sure. I was down at Currumbin Alley to have a paddle myself about 5am. The swell has definelty picked up as out the back there was a few waves pushing 5ft while inside it was more like about 3ft. After my session Short session of about 1 1/2 hrs I got back home for a quick breakfast then back to rainbow bay to give a surf lesson. That took me through to lunch time. I took the time to check the surf up at Snapper and there was some pretty nice waves coming through in the 3-4ft mark. Conditions were a little sketchy as the sand has been washed off the point and it was breaking more off little marley but some nice clean waves just the same. There was a number of people in the water, all the way from snapper right down to what is left of old Kirra. Everyone out though enjoying the weekend. OK in the afternoon after lunch I headed over to Burliegh to see what was happening there. It was to hot to sleep so the beach with a cool breeze seemed like a good idea. The was wind was up so conditions were not clean but there was still some ripable waves coming down the point. There was around 25-30 guys in the one section that I was shooting. Not really barrelling but every now and then one would turn inside out. On the outside there was a few guys having a dig and wave size was definelty bigger in the 4-5ft mark while inside on the rocks size was around the 3ft mark. Well thats my day done hope you enjoy the photos. Till next time!
