**** AFTERNOON SURF UP-DATE **** Hello friends of Bali and thanks for tuning in to the baliwaves.com for your daily dose of Bali surf and weather info . Well today I couldn’t go surfing with the lads from Home Base as I was attending a friends fathers cremation ceremony. But I did get Dewa Made to take the boys on a wave hunt. Today the conditions were perfect for some action along Bali’s West Coast , blue sky and a light off-shore wind coming outta the ESE @ 3-6knot. But… swell wise wave height was micro, dropping off to 0.5 – 1.5ft between Kuta Reef and Uluwatu .
The crew from HB did the rounds anyway and checked Uluwatu, Nusa Dua, Serangan and all the way up to Keramas but didn’t find anything to temp them out for a paddle. So we’re thinking about planning another road trip tomorrow back up the coast to hopefully find a wave or two at Balian.
Weather wise yes sir today started off perfectly with that good old ESE off-shore wind and nothing but blue sky and sunshine. Then around 1.00pm the wind shifted around to the SSW and then the cloud started to move in. Temperature wise it woulda easily made 32 degree’s Celsius by midday.
Swell Prediction; There’s still not much happening swell wise down in the Indian Ocean. Well not for this part of the Indian anyway. We are still under the influence of High Pressure Cells, causing the dreaded “yo-yo effect” on our wave height. But over on the south western part of the Indian there’s plenty o action from two Tropical Cyclone’s spinning over the last week. What we can expect over the next 7 day period is… more small but possibly fun sized waves ranging from 1-4ft+ depending on location. Head South for the best waves !
Well Thanks to all the kind hearted folks that have helped us improve the conditions up at the Datah Primary School ! We are making some real progress with the objectives we made, so make sure you check out our progress at the school via the “SCHOOL PROJECT” page over on the menue bar .
