Today I was down at Snapper Rocks having a surf at 5:30am. There was only one guy in the water as conditions were a little onshore. By the time I got out there I was sitting byself with no-one around. I’ve never had that before, and soon enough others started to make their way into the line up. Waves were coming through in the 2-4ft mark, some were running off while others were shutting down. I definelty got my share and enjoyed my session. On the way home I headed past Duranbah beach. COnditions there were much cleaner and only half a dozen out enjoying the waves. I saw one guy get a nice little barrel from takeoff while looking down from the lookout. As the weather was still pretty clear from the predicted rain for the next few days I grabbed the camera and headed back down the beach. By the time I got back the wind had picked up and conditions had deteriated. There was still some nice waves coming through Snapper Rocks with even new womens world champ Stephanie Gilmore making an appearance. I hung around for a while and then when the clouds started to come over and build I packed up and headed home. ok well enjoy this latest lot, Till next time!
