**** MORNING SURF UP-DATE **** Good morning friends and thanks for dropping into the baliwaves.com for the run down on todays surfing and weather conditions . Well I had to stay at home today as the crew from Home Base pulled out for yet another surfing mission . Reason being too much surfing for me means I have over 65 un-answered emails, fishing photos and report to edit, Kuta Cam photos to edit and not too mention some long awaited Tide Charts to prepare. And all before the crew get back to HB with more material from todays surf mission….
But I have been down for a squizz at the Outer Reefs here in Tuban and this morning at 6.15am wave height between Kuta Reef and Airport Left was only showing in the 1-2ft range at best. Great surfing conditions though with the wind at the time coming lightly outta the ENE @ 1-2knot and off-shore along the West Coast. The tide was pretty low but is running in for a 1.8mtr High set for around 11.00am. We also have a New Moon rising tonight so we’ll be seeing some bigger tide ranges over the following few days.
Our Guest Reporter “Jay” has already sms’d me from where he is over at “Secrets” on the East Coast and said wave height was only rolling through in the waist to shoulder high range. Surfing conditions were clean and glassy with 10 surfers in the water. Ok I’m gunna hook in and try and get a bit done, but hopefully I’ll have another afternoon up-date for ya’s later this afternoon.
Weather conditions , this morning the sky is a little cloudy and grey but not the rain type of cloud. So we should be in for yet another hot and sunny day around Bali’s beach’s by midday.
Swell Prediction , and things are looking much more positive over the next 7 day period indeed. At the moment we have a tight Low Pressure Cell down in the Indian Ocean and it’s being funelled up to us from the aid of a High Pressure Cell on each side of it. Wave height should continue to hold in over the next day or so before dropping off slowly. But by next Friday we should see some solid swell belting the reefs and beachs around Bali that should go right through the weekend.
