AFTERNOON SURF UP-DATE **** Good evening folks and thanks for waiting around for the rundown on whats been going down surf and weather wise here in Bali today . Well when I did my first surf recon of the Outer Reefs this morning at 6.00am wave height was only breaking in the 1-2ft range . But surfing conditions were clean and glassy and a clam wind. The crew from here at Home base headed South down to Uluwatu and there they scored some nice waves in the 3-4ft+ class.By late this afternoon as I mentioned in the swell prediction section of my report, wave height has well and truelly picked up with the Outer Reefs (Kuta Reef to Airport Left) now showing a solid 3-5ft+ . So lets hope for calm winds again tomorrow morning and there will be waves smoking through all over the island. I did manage to load ya’s up a New Video Clip from Canggu that should give ya’s a pretty good idea of what to expect if your planning on surfing up there. Perfect little waves but with plenty of hot locals tearing it pieces . I also read on a Sydney surf report site that they had better waves than Bali the day we were surfing up at Balian and Medewi . What a joke, they were obviously only comparing their waves to on-shore Canggu waves that someone had posted on their site, huahahaha. The surfer come fishermen , and what else do aging surfers do, can find some new photos on the Fishing Report page . Scott has been loading up Readers Reports from the Super Bank on the Aussie Gold Coast and other locations so make sure ya have a geek at that stuff before ya check out. And I’ll be back out shooting ya’s some more photos from around Bali again tomorrow so drop in again then. Last but not least dept; I knew it would happen , some tourist has informed me not to go holding any of you lots hands and giving them info on Medewi and Balian and he thinks it’s all for him… it’s becoming a joke I tell ya… By the time we left Balian the other morning there woulda been at least 50 Japanese surfers in the water at Balian . These critics, for lack of using stronger words must not realize that there are “surf guide” books and a trillion other websites that have been naming these “secret” locations for years and years. Weather wise today we have had a mixed bag, with light rain falling through most of the morning up until around 10.00am before the sun busted out and warmed things up to around the 30 degree Cesius mark. Swell Prediction , and things are looking much more positive over the next 7 day period indeed. At the moment we have a tight Low Pressure Cell down in the Indian Ocean and it’s being funelled up to us from the aid of a High Pressure Cell on each side of it. Wave height should continue to hold in over the next day or so before dropping off slowly. But by next Friday we should see some solid swell belting the reefs and beachs around Bali that should go right through the weekend. Datah Primary School Project , I know it’s been over a month since my last visit to the school but come the 13th of this month and I will be making a special visit to the school to hand over some more of your extremely valuable contributions and to make another summary / report on the current situation at the school.
