MORNING SURF UP-DATE **** Hello crew and welcome back to the baliwaves.com surf and weather report machine . Ok I went down for a 6.00am surf recon of the Outer Reefs and things were not looking so good out there at the time. Wave height seems to have backed off a touch from yesterday afternoon but still showing in the 2-3ft+ range between Kuta Reef and Airports . The tide was pretty much on the bottom of a reef exposing 0.1mtr low , and the wind fresh on-shore outta the WNW @ 6-10knot . The next High tide will be around midday @ 2.3mtrs.
So with that knowledge in hand I don’t think we will be doing too much surfing along Bali’s West Coast this morning. Instead we’ll be making some tracks over to the East Coast in search of cleaner conditions. Just waiting for the lads here at Home Base to wake up first. I’ll be taking along the SLR & 600mm so hopefully I’ll be loading some fresh photos up forya’s later this afternoon. Weather wise out there this morning the sky is looking cloudy and grey and there’s a big chance of another drop or two of rain at some point in time. Temperature wise we can still expect the mercury to reach into the high 20’s on the Celsius scale. The net is also predicting a return to strong and gusty Westerly winds over the next few days…. The surfer come fishermen , and what else do aging surfers do, can find some new photos on the Fishing Report page . Scott has been loading up Readers Reports from the Super Bank on the Aussie Gold Coast and other locations so make sure ya have a geek at that stuff before ya check out Swell Prediction (5th – 11th) , and things are looking much more positive over the next 7 day period indeed. At the moment we have a tight Low Pressure Cell down in the Indian Ocean and it’s being funelled up to us from the aid of a High Pressure Cell on each side of it. Wave height should continue to hold in over the next day or so before dropping off slowly. But by next Friday we should see some solid swell belting the reefs and beachs around Bali that should go right through the weekend. Datah Primary School Project , I know it’s been over a month since my last visit to the school but come the 13th of this month and I will be making a special visit to the school to hand over some more of your extremely valuable contributions and to make another summary / report on the current situation at the school. So stay tuned for more info on what we have accomplished. Well Thanks to all the kind hearted folks that have helped us improve the conditions up at the Datah Primary School ! We are making some real progress with the objectives we made, so make sure you check out our progress at the school via the “SCHOOL PROJECT” page over on the menue bar .
