**** MORNING SURF UP-DATE **** Good morning my friends of Bali and thanks for dropping by the baliwaves.com for your daily dose of surf and weather info from your favourite surfing holiday island. Well this morning there wasn’t much happening on the Outer Reefs here in Tuban with wave height only showing in the 1-1ft+ range between Kuta Reef and Airport Left . But we can’t complain we’ve had a pretty good run of consistant surf out there over the last week or so.
So we the crew from here at Home Base loaded the rental and headed for Uluwatu down on the southern most tip of the island. As we neared our destination we drove into a solid rain squall and with it the wind switched to the SSW . When we arrived at Ulu wave height was showing in the 2-3ft range but the wind was blowing cross/on-shore . There was a few smallies running down the Racetrack section in the waist to shoulder high class but no surfers in the water at 9.00am. Our crew also decided on calling a lay day for today so we bailed out and hit the road home for Tuban .
The crew from Home base were not too disappointed cause they have been pretty spoilt surf wise. And the fact that they know we have a new swell in transit to Bali as I type . Hopefully we should start to see this one hitting our beach and reef breaks anytime in the next 24-36hrs , so stay tuned to the one and only original Bali surf and weather report website . What I did do for anyone concerned about beach erosion, or anyone who likes to see how destructive a high tide combined with only a 4-5ft swell can do. The take a look at the 21 new photos I loaded in the KUTA CAM GALLERY earlier this morning.
Weather wise here in Tuban it’s been blue sky and sunshine from sun up. But like I said above down on the Southern end of the island it’s grey sky and rain. Right now at 10.15am the temperature here in Tuban would easily be around 28 degree’s Celsius.
Another thing I couldn’t help but notice while I was on the beach, was the increased amount of beach front damage that’s happened at the Pantai Restaurant / Ma Jolley and Bali Bintang Ramada Hotels .
( Next visit to the school will be on the 19th of March ) Well Thanks to all the kind hearted folks that have helped us improve the conditions up at the Datah Primary School !
