**** AFTERNOON SURF UP-DATE **** Howdy folks, sorry about the late report but I have been out there doing the right thing. I’ve actually just got back to Home Base with a large load of excersise book and assorted colouring in pencils for the kids up at Datah Primary School , kindly donated by Aaron and his family from down in Perth Australia .
Ok surfwise today there’s plenty of it hitting the Outer Reefs here in Tuban . This morning at 6.30am the wind was light off-shore outta the East and wave height between Kuta Reef and Airport Left was smoking through in the 3-5ft range (that’s upto double head high on the old school scale).
There was good waves on all 3 main sections of reef with the bigger sets breaking on Middle Reef. I just sstopped by for another look on the way back to here and I wish I was there I tell ya’s. There were no surfers in the water except for two of the boys staying with us just making there way into a reef taxi for the trip out to Kuta Reef . An empty line-up with some perfect looking chest to head high plus waves peeling off on Kuta Reef. And… absolutely no wind making it all clean and glassy like. But if I were you I wouldn’t bother going there tomorrow morning for the dawny…LOL.
Weather wise it’s been raining off and on all day with some serious rain falling throught he mid afternoon. But on the 0-10 weather scale I’m still gunna give her a 7-10 for the Easterly wind through the morning and no wind through the arvo.
( Next visit to the school will be on the 19th of March ) Well Thanks to all the kind hearted folks that have helped us improve the conditions up at the Datah Primary School !
