**** MORNING SURF UP-DATE **** Hello friends of Bali and thanks for sropping into the baliwaves.com for your daily fix of Bali surf and weather info . I took my first look at the Outer reefs at 6.00am as soon as it was light enough to see. Wave height was still hanging in there at 3-5ft between Kuta Reef and Airport Left . But unfortunately at that time the wind was coming outta the NNW @ 5-8knot and tide just starting it’s run back in.
My next surf check was out at Kuta Reef at 7.30am with the boys from Home base . Wave height was coming through in the 3-4ft range and the wind had dropped off leaving the waves clean and glassy . There were only 2 other surfers in the water when we hit the line-up and by the time I climbed back into the reef taxi there was still only a total of 7 surfers on KR. Further down on Middle Reef there were still 5 footers hitting the reef and only 2 surfers on it. Airport Left was also brealing nicely in the 2-4ft range and something like 8 surfers out there.
I did have my little water proof Olympus in my board short pocket thinking I was gunna be do some surfing while at the same time getting you lot some new photos… But as Murphy’s law dictates the camera was suffering from excess moisture , if you know what I mean %#$@ !!! But as far as surfing goes today there would be waves all over the island to choose from.
Don’t forget that tomorrow is Hari Raya Nyepi and there won’t be any surf report seeing as no one is allowed out on the streets or beach’s.
Weather wise there was some light rain pre-dawn and then some light drizzle. The sky is still pretty clouded up and the chance of more rain to come. Temperature wise now at 10.00am it’s around 26 degree’s Celsius and the water temperature was warm @ 25 degree’s Celsius. Today also see’s the New Moon rising so we’ll be seeing some big tide differences.
Changing dollars to Rupiah on the streets of Kuta you’ll find that; –1AU$=Rp8,450 – 1US$=Rp9,100 –
