**** AFTERNOON SURF UP-DATE **** Howdy crew and thanks for stopping by the baliwaves.com daily surf and weather report. You know I was nearly gunna throw up some smoking photos from Padang Padang and say it was cranking today. But only because it’s April fools day..
But I couldn’t do it to ya’s. So instead seeing as there’s no change in surfing conditions again today, in other words it’s pretty well flat here along Bali’s West Coast . And not to mention that the wind is howling outta the WSW @ 10-14knots . I’ve decided to give ya’s a bit of a cultural tour of Bali to a few of the places I’ve been to in the last few weeks.
Weather wise , well like I mentioned for starters the wind has been howling onshore since mid morning and it’s been raining for about the same amount of time I’d have to give her a 1-10 on the baliwaves.com scale of weather.
I’m hoping that tomorrow ww will see a change in wind direction getting back on track for the change of season. But I don’t think we’ll be seeing to much more swell than whats available today.
Ok the boys from up at the KANDUI SURF RESORT in the MENTAWAI ISLANDS have sent us through some more photos and surf up-dates and you can find them in the Surf Report menue on the right hand side of this page. Scotto has also been out shooting some photos along Australia’s Northern coastal region and you’ll find his material in the same section under READERS REPORTS . Actually I’ll be looking forward to Scott getting back to Bali and helping us out on the photo department. Especially now he’s shooting from behind a brand new Cannon f2.8, 300mm with 2 x convertor connected.
Changing dollars to Rupiah out on the streets of Kuta you can still expect to find that 1AU$=Rp8,375 – 1US$=Rp9,100. And just beware while you’re here in Bali and you see money changers advertising higher than normal rates. This usually indicates a scam of some degree.
