Kandui Surf Resort: April 15th surf report
Sorry for the gap in surf reports! Our internet was down for a couple of days due to some part going haywire in Malaysia or something. At least that is the story they are giving us! Anyway, we have had some pretty good surf. There has been some good Bankvaults and Nipusi. Burgerworld was actually epic a few days ago as well. Rifles turned on for about 2 hours one afternoon, but everybody was surfing somewhere else at the time so we could only look at pictures from our buddy who was out there. Damn, that hurts!
Today, it started out pretty glassy. There were a few waves rolling in at 4 Bobs so we figured that Bankvaults might still have some size. We were right. It was a little overhead and, as luck would have it, the wind came up out of the north and the tubes started throwing. Everyone had a great time. Some people surfed Beng Beng when the winds turned more east, and it was pretty fun as well with a few shoulder high sets rolling in. In the afternoon, we stayed close to base. 4 Bobs was chest high with no one out, and fun with light offshores. And a few of the guys went to Last Resort’s where there were still overhead sets and fun. No one else out.
Our long time friend and most frequent guest, Karina Petroni, arrived today and she brought a couple of her good friends, Stephanie Gilmore and Leilani Gryde. It will be Karina’s birthday in a few days so the girls came out to celebrate with a few barrels and some fun!
We are hoping for a little southwest swell to show up tomorrow.
