**** AFTERNOON SURF UP-DATE **** Once again welcome back to the baliwaves.com for your daily fix of Bali surf and weather info . The one and only , not to mention the first surf report website on Bali ’s World Class surf .
Well today hasn’t been much different from the last 3, for me anyway. My back is still a bit bent but it is on the mend. But thanks to our man Scott we are still bringing home the bacon with new photos and info from down at Uluwatu today .
The first of our tides here in Bali was 0.7mtr Low around 7.30am and then we had a 2.2mtr High filling in around 2.30pm. Wind direction has been steady and constant outta the ESE-SE @ 6-10knot and off-shore between Legian and Uluwatu on Bali ’s West Coast.
Here’s what Scotto had to say on Uluwatu today ; “Today I was down at the beach and checking the outer reefs at 6am to see if the predicted increase in swell had arrived. By the look of things there was a slight increase in wave hieght with what looked like 4ft sets hitting middle reef. I made the decision to head to Uluwatu and check out the action at that end of the island. SO getting the camera gear ready, loading up the bike and heading off I managed to arrive by 7:30am. Conditions were perfect, with 4ft sets running down the racetrack section of the reef producing some great open barrels for some. The tide was rushing in though and soon the main peak was getting the most attention. There was a few bombs and I would call it 6ft on the set waves. I noticed a few people coming back up the cliff with a little less of themselves having greeted the reef in a not so friendly way. This is about the only unfriendly thing about Bali so if you are going to surf these now popular spots, don’t forget you need to know what you are doing, cause you will always come off second best after hitting the sharp reef that sits on the bottom of these breaks. OK well I hope that you are enjoying your Sunday and this latest report to come out beautiful Bali . Till next time Scott Thompson signing out.â€
