**** AFTERNOON SURF UP-DATE **** Hello surfers and thanks for dropping in for the baliwaves.com Sunday Session. AND A BIG HAPPY MOTHERS DAY TO ALL THE MUMS OUT THERE. Well the early morning surf check of the Outer Reefs was still showing wave height to be holding in there at 4-6ft between Kuta reef and Airport Left . The first of our tides today was a 0.8mtr Low @ 7.00am so there wasn’t too much happening on Kuta Reef and Airport Lefts first up and Middle Reef was brea king a long way out and lining up real clean. But KR and AL woulda been smoking around 10.00am with a bit more water. High water was at 1.00pm peaking at 2.2mtrs . Wind direction has been pretty fresh outta the ESE-SE for the first half of the day and then swinging a bit more SSE after lunch.
These current photos are courtesy of Scotto who made the run down to Uluwatu to see if the pro’s were putting on another show. But I think yesterday was the day at Ulu and make sure you run the 6 NEW VIDEO CLIPS (Owen Wright @ Ulu #1-#2, Backside attack @ Ulu #1-#2 and Uluwatu #1-#2). I think tomorrow this swell may settle back down a touch and Ulu might turn it on again for us so stay tuned for more video action on baliwaves.com.
Anyway here’s what Scotto had to say on surfing conditions down at Uluwatu today ; “What a day, I was down at Uluwatu at 7am to hopefully get some race track action but things didn’t quite work out as I had hoped. The swell was coming in from a slightly different angle to yesterday and breaking way wide. There was some bombs and only 4 brave souls having a dig at the time. I set up and waited for the tide to push and the waves to get there act together. I waited and I waited but it was a long day today folks. These latest photos make it look a little bit better that it was I must say. The surfers were being swept around the ocean and working hard for there waves today. I managed to shoot 35 photos in 6 hours of being johnny on the spot. Things were looking a little better as I packed up but after 6 hours I was ready to call it a day, I mean it is Sunday after all. Waves were in the 4-6ft range consistent sets every 10 minutes or so, clean conditions, perfect weather and waves breaking all over the west coast today. OK well thats it for me hope your enjoying yourselfs. Till next time, Scotto”

Small waves today before we should start to see a new system showing sometime late tomorrow afternoon and then building into a 6-8ft+ swell over the weekend. This should continue into next week with another system riding in on it’s back and keeping wave height in the medium to solid class and then furth er out towards the end of next week yet another solid swell system moving in on us.
