Kandui Surf Resort May 10 surf report
The swell we have been anticipating for about a week finally arrived overnight. Our first boat headed for Kandui’s. It was solid! Maybe triple overhead and throwing. The swell had a lot of west in it so there was not that many waves that you could make all the way through, but the ones you could make were epic! The guys surfed until the tide got too low around late morning. Our second boat was full of guys that didn’t want any part of Kandui’s (me included!), and we headed for Hideaways. But there wasn’t much safety there either! It was about the same size, but a current was whipping through the line up. We gave it a shot, but it was too hard to keep up with the current, although a few guys got some waves. We packed it up pretty quick and went to Ebay. It had some size as well, but it was a walk in the park compared to the Kandui and Hideaway! We surfed it for hours. In the afternoon, the wind turned a bit southwest and 4 Bobs became a fun option. It was only head high and it was a nice break from the adrenaline pumping waves we were into today. We are expecting a little smaller swell tomorrow, but still pretty sizable
