**** MIDDAY SURF UP-DATE **** Hello friends and thanks for dropping into the baliwaves.com daily (7/7) surf and weather report live from your favourite surfing holiday destination of Bali .
Well still no improvement surfwise here on the Outer Reefs of Tuban , if anything it’s smaller than yesterday. Wave height between Kuta Reef and Airport Left was only just showing at 1-2ft and that was this morning while the tide was on the bottom of a 0.7mtr Low. Kuta Reef was once again virtually fla t but there was a few surfers catching some waist to chest high waves on Middle Reef and Airport Left . That was then, now that the tide has filled in with a 2.6mtr High just after lunch there’s not much at brea king. Wind direction has been constant outta the ESE-SE @ 5-12knot and off-shore between Legian and Uluwatu.
I did hear there was still the odd 2-4 footer coming through down at Uluwatu this morning and that’s probably the best option to find a half decent wave today. Scotto has been down along the beach breaks of Kuta / Legian hunting up some new photos for us and as soon as he gets back to Home Base I’ll get em loaded up for ya’s. Hopefully as per our latest swell forecast well start to see a new swell starting to show tomorrow morning. So make sure ya call back into the baliwaves.com for the Sunday Session.
Weather wise today it’s been a mainly hot and sunny day around Kuta and Tuban. Right now at 1.00pm the tempe rature would be around the 29-30 degree Celsius mark.
Swell Forecast (23rd May – 29th May) Well it’s certainly looking good for the next week here in Bali swell wis e. Wave height should remain in the 2-3ft+ range for Saturday and then sometime Sunday afternoon we should start to feel a solid swell hitting our reefs from G-land to Sumbawa . This should hold in the 5-8ft range through till Thursday / Friday before fading out and then not long after we should receive another back to back swell. All good for a big week of perfect waves for the lucky ones here in Ind onesia .
Mentawai islands ; The good guys from the Kandui Surf Resort have sent us through another new batch of photos showing off more perfection in their part of Ind o. And you’ll be able to suss them out in the Surf Report section. Here’s another baliwaves bonus for ya’s dept; Anyday now we’ll also be providing ya’s with surf reports and photos from the Macaronis Surf Resort up in the Mentawai’s. I was talking to a couple of friends yesterday who have been out on charter in the Ments and they reckon if they ever make it back up there again they won’t be going on a boat after stopping off in the Surf Resorts. That’s where they’ll be heading. The Surf Resorts up there just make it all too easy for their guests with speed boats to zap you around all day and then back to the Resort for R & R in the evenings.
G-Land ; I had a pnone call from G-Land this morning and Raymond said to tell you guys and girls that he’ll give you 15% discount off the published price . Just click on his G-Land banner over in our banner advertisement section and drop him an email.
