Kandui Surf Resort May 28 surf report
The wind was blowing out of the southeast this morning and the surf out front looked a little bit smaller than yesterday, but there were still some sets coming in. No one was in a big hurry since the tide was a little low early on, but one by one our boats headed over to Hideaways. That seemed to be the best wave around today with some overhead sets and good conditions, and there were only a handful of other people around so it was pretty much just team Kandui in the water. At around high tide, some of our guys went over to Kandui’s. There were a few waves over there, still overhead on the sets, and there was no one out. Just about high noon, a storm came in from the east and messed things up a bit so the guys came back and got some lunch. All afternoon 4 Bobs got cleaner and cleaner, and by around mid afternoon the winds started blowing offshore from the west and 4 Bobs became the place to be! We surfed the shoulder high waves that were coming through until dark. Probably looking at a little smaller surf tomorrow.

The winds were back to southeast this morning. Our first boat headed over to Kandui to get some waves on the AM high tide. It was not big enough to really be doing its thing over there, but there were some fun waves and even the overhead bomb that reminded everyone where they were surfing! Our second boat went to Hideaways. It was surprisingly good considering the tide was getting low and the swell was fading. It was still overhead and clean and, to top things off, no one else was out. They had a good session. Some of the guys surfed Nipusi in the afternoon. It was a little bumpy, but overhead and fun. The rest of us surfed 4 Bobs. There were some head high sets rolling through and it was fun, as usual. Hoping what swell we have left will hang around another day.

The wind was blowing out of the northeast this morning and stayed that way the whole day. That made ok conditions just about everywhere, but not great conditions. But the waves were fun at just about every spot. We surfed basically everywhere except Burger world! The size ranged from 3 or 4 foot overhead at places like Bankvaults and Pistols to shoulder high plus at places like Beng Beng and Kandui. Everywhere was fun, but not epic. One of our guests said he surfed 6 spots today! Bankvaults, Nipusi, Kandui, 4 Bobs, Pitstops, and Beng Beng! Some of our other guests also surfed Pistols, Hideaways, and Ebay! You have to love this area. We are probably looking at dropping surf tomorrow.
