Kandui Surf Resort May 29 surf report
The winds were blowing pretty hard from the east this morning. That’s straight onshore in front of the resort so it doesn’t tend to inspire a rush for the boats, but the wind gradually backed off and it turned more to the southeast and so one of the boats rallied and headed to Kandui’s. The swell was still hanging in there and overhead sets would roll in once in a while. But the success rate was pretty low out there so after a while the crew packed up and went to Beng Beng. The winds had dropped even more by then and conditions were near perfect. Waves were head high and super fun. The guys surfed by themselves for hours. It was a super fun session. In the afternoon, our boat headed for Nipusi. Winds were onshore but really light. The waves were overhead and no one was out except the Kandui crew once again. They surfed until dark. 4 Bobs has been the afternoon favorite and it came through again with some clean, shoulder high waves to end the day with. We are hoping for our next swell to start to show itself sometime tomorrow.
