****MORNING SURF UP-DATE**** Howdy crew and thanks for stopping by the baliwaves.com for the Sunday Session, and another day in paradise.
I’m gonna get staright into it today cause I’ve got a truck load of tube filled video footage of Keramas to edit for ya’s as soon as this is on line. This mornings surf recon of the Outer Reefs here in Tuban was showing another drop in wave height but still waves on all three of the main sections ranging between 2-3ft. The first of our tides today was a 0.7mt Low @ 6.00am and then we have a 2.4mtr High coming on @ 12.00-12.30pm. The ESE Tradewind has been blowing hard all night and still is now up to 20knot+. So looking for a wave today your gunna get the best results down under the cliffs of the bukit.
Kuta Reef, Middle Reef and Airport Left all had a few surfers on them with waves ranging in size from waist to head high. But being located 600-700mtrs off-shore are pretty well wind blown from the howling off-shore.
Dewa Made has hit the road to check out whats happening down at Uluwatu and I’m pretty sure I’m gunna have more video footage to edit later this afternoon…
Troy (baliwaves.com) is up at Balian this morning and has phoned through saying that there is hardly any wind up there just yet. He also said that the A frame left and right river mouth had some peeling waves in the head to double head high range. And the right hander furth er down the beach was getting better with the incoming tide at 2-3ft+.
Weather wise it’s a wintery day here in Tuban. Still some scattered cloud moving across at the moment but should be fine and sunny by midday. We can expect the maximum tempe rature to max at 30 degree’s Celsius. While the water temp has also cooled down to around 20 degree’s Celsius.
Ok that’s about us for today. Now I’m gunna start on the video footage from Keramas yesterday cause tomorrow I’ll be back up in the mountains for a ceremony. Have a good one and stay tuned to the one and only original Bali surf and weather report.

Swell Forecast (15th – 22nd June) Well after taking a long look at the available swell prediction sites it looks like for today and most of tomorrow wave height will be remaining in the 2-4ft range depending on location of course. Then late Monday or possibly Tuesday we’ll start to see the next swell hitting the reefs of Ind onesia . I’m pretty sure by Wednesday we are gunna be seeing some very solid waves in the double to quadripple over head size. Wave height will settle down a touch, but not too much come Thursday then continuing to taper off through Friday. Then next weekend there’s gunna be more action with arrival of a second swell pushing wave height back into the 5-6ft+ sector. So get ready for it and if your gunna be here in Ind onesia then ya had better stay tuned to the baliwaves.com for the daily coverage.
Drop me a line if your interested in getting on board a 9.5mtr high powered ocean speed boat if you want to surf locations like Desert Pt, Scar Reef, Supersuck, Yo-Yo’s without having to wait days to get the their the old way. I’m thinking this type of trip is gunna be the New Way to hit Lombok and Sumbawa instead of the old 7 day slow boat system. Especially when it’s priced around the same range but doubling the amount of surf time !
And just a reminder that we still have some baliwaves.com T-Shirts and stickers available for ya’s here in Bali so drop me a line.
Mentawai islands ; The good guys from the Kandui Surf Resort have sent us through another new batch of photos showing off more perfection in their part of Ind o. And you’ll be able to suss them out in the Surf Report section. Here’s another baliwaves bonus for ya’s dept; Anyday now we’ll also be providing ya’s with surf reports and photos from the Macaronis Surf Resort up in the Mentawai’s. I was talking to a couple of friends yesterday who have been out on charter in the Ments and they reckon if they ever make it back up there again they won’t be going on a boat after stopping off in the Surf Resorts. That’s where they’ll be heading. The Surf Resorts up there just make it all too easy for their guests with speed boats to zap you around all day and then back to the Resort for R & R in the evenings.
G-Land ; I had a pnone call from G-Land this morning and Raymond said to tell you guys and girls that he’ll give you 15% discount off the published price. Just click on his G-Land banner over in our banner advertisement section and drop him an email.
