Today I wanted to check out the situation with the stricken fishing boat down at Padang Padang. While I was on site the tide was still pushing in and every set was moving the ship back and forth, doing who knows what damage to the reef. As the tide kept pushing it appeared to push the ship slightly further up on the reef and this will only make things harder to extract her. Who knows when and how they are going to do this. The good news is that there was was no sign that I could see, of any oil or fuel leaks at this time. There was still a few surfers and boogey board riders having a go but the tide was really a little bit too high already for the break to be doing its thing, as we all know it can. OK lets hope that something can be done to recitfy this situation in the near future. Scott!
