****MORNING SURF UP-DATE**** Howdy friends and welcome back for the baliwwaves.com Sunday Session bringing ya’s the latest surf and weather info from your favourite surfing holiday destination of Bali.
Ok so these latest photos are the ones that Scotto blasted off yesterday out at Kuta Reef. This morning when I went down for an 8.00am surf check of the Outer Reefs here in Tuban wave height has dropped down into the 1-3ft range between Kuta Reef and Airport Left. Tidewise we have a 2.4mtr High happening at 12.00pm and then another reef exposing 0.1mtr Low around sunset time. The ESE-SE Tradewind was already blowing hard off-shore between Legian and Uluwatu @ 9-13knot+.
Kuta Reef had some small and wind affected 1-2 footers breaking and there were 4 surfers in the water dealing with it at the time.
Middle Reef had around a dozen surfers out there and the set waves were coming through in the shoulder to head high class.
Airport Left had a crazey crowd of 25+ surfers in the water with wave height coming through in the waist to chest high range.
The beach breaks would be worth a look towards lunch time and you’d probably find some waves in the waist to chest high plus range anywhere along the Kuta to Legian stretch of sand.
Ok small waves here along the West Coast today but hopefully we’ll see a new swell hitting the reefs by tomorrow morning, or there abouts. Don’t forget to check out the New Video Clips I loaded up for ya’s yesterday. Especially the 2 from Padang Padang and you’ll get to see the fishing boat that ran aground. Also the latest news from Padang Padang is that the boat has turned side on the the waves.
Weather wise out there today we have an overcast start this morning but as usual we can expect blue sky and sunshine by early afternoon. Heading for a top temperature of around 31 degree’s Celsius.

Drop me a line if your interested in organizing your friends to get on board a 10mtr high powered ocean speed boat if you want to surf locations like Desert Pt, Scar Reef, Supersuck, Yo-Yo’s without having to wait days to get the their the old way. I’m thinking this type of trip is gunna be the New Way to hit Lombok and Sumbawa instead of the old 7 day slow boat system. Especially when it’s priced around the same range but doubling the amount of surf time ! These charters are only for private groups at this stage so organize your surfing buddies and get on board.

Mentawai islands ; The good guys from the Kandui Surf Resort have sent us through another new batch of photos showing off more perfection in their part of Ind o. And you’ll be able to suss them out in the Surf Report section. Here’s another baliwaves bonus for ya’s dept; Anyday now we’ll also be providing ya’s with surf reports and photos from the Macaronis Surf Resort up in the Mentawai’s. I was talking to a couple of friends yesterday who have been out on charter in the Ments and they reckon if they ever make it back up there again they won’t be going on a boat after stopping off in the Surf Resorts. That’s where they’ll be heading. The Surf Resorts up there just make it all too easy for their guests with speed boats to zap you around all day and then back to the Resort for R & R in the evenings.
