Today I was headed down to do a quick check of the outer reefs when I bumped into a friend who advised that there was not much happening. So with that in mind I just headed straight to Padma Street again. When I arrived, there was already a crew in the water and a steady stream of guys and girls heading out. There was also a strong crew further up the beach towards Legian.
High tide is going to be peaking between 8-9am this morning at about 2.0 mtrs. Its then going to drop down for a low of 0.5 mtrs at 4pm this afternoon. So if your looking for a late one maybe middle reef might offer something?
Padma street being a high tide spot was just peaking when I arrived just after 8am. Waves had definelty dropped off a touch though with sets in the chest high range. Both the left and the right were working, with the rights being the pick in my opinion. The waves wern’t always running right though to the beach and quite often faded in the channel. There was around 25+ people surfing the right and another dozen or so on the left. Most of the crew catching waves were able to get a few good turns in before pulling off and paddling back out.
Ok so although wave conditions are slightly smaller today on the up side the weather has improved. Its currently 12pm and looking out my window there is plenty of blue sky. So get out there make the most of it. The one constant at the moment is the wind, which was blowing most of the night. At 6am it was still strong at 12+ knots out of the south east. Which is still off shore anywhere between Uluwatu and Legian beach. So there will be options to find yourself a wave out there today.
On another note Slim should be returning tomorrow, so all your latest surf info will be back to normal.
Till next time Scott.
