****AFTERNOON SURF UP-DATE**** Hey crew thanks for sticking in out for me to get back from Singapore. And man I tell ya it’s good to be back on the happy little holiday island of Bali. Singapore is a nice place to visit but sure as hell I wouldn’t wanna live there.
Anyway a big thanks to Scott for keeping the reports and surf and weather info rolling into ya’s. I’m still feeling a bit weird from not seeing the ocean for 4 days but should be back to normal when I do the sunset surf check in another hour or so.
Here’s the photos and report Scott has got together for us and I’ll be back tomorrow morning again with the latest ok. “I have been awake since 5am and not being able to sleep, I grabbed the board and headed down to Padma Street to get myself some waves. I was the first in the water this morning and had it to myself for 5min and it was only 5:50am. The sun wasn’t even up but I guess thats what you have to do to get a wave to yourself these days.I stayed out for an hour caught a couple of fun little waves then as the crowd started to build at 7am I called it a day.
I headed home got myself organised and headed back down to get some fresh daily photos for you all. The crowd had definelty built and I was glad to have gotten my waves early. There was now about 30 on the right and another 20 on the left. Waves were only in the 2ft range or waist high but still pretty fun as I had already found out. The standout surfer was Dede S. who was moving water and going up and over it with speed and style.
The tide was highest around 9am and I was only on the beach for about half an hour either side of its peak. So there was plenty of action in the water even though it was only small.
Ok we are looking at a small spike in wave hieght hopefully some time over the weekend. That is going to open up a few other possabilities for photos. So stay tuned as we bring you all the best and latest info coming out of beautiful Bali.
Till next time Scottâ€
