****MORNING SURF UP-DATE**** Howdy folks and thanks for taking the time out for your daily fix of Bali surf and weather info here on the baliwaves.com.
Well I took my time getting down the beach this morning with an expected drop in wave size, so it wasn’t until 9.00am that I was looking at the Outer Reefs here in Tuban. Wave height had backed off a touch but there was still the odd chest to shoulder high wave breaking between Kuta Reef and Airport Left.
Tidewise the first for the day was a 0.4mtr Low around 7.00am and then she’ll be filling back in for a 2.3mtr High around 1.00pm. The ESE-SE Tradewind had kicked in early this morning, around 7.00am and blowing straight off-shore between Legian and Uluwatu @ 6-10knot+.
Kuta Reef had small but well shaped waves peeling along the reef with the bigger set waves in the waist to chest high class. Not many surfers were in the water, around 6 all up.
Middle Reef was pulling in the bigger waves on the Outers as usual with the occasional head high reak set. But as one would expect there were a fair crowd of 20+ surfers out there at the time.
Airport Left was showing wave height in the waist to waist high plus class and by the number of reef taxi’s that were parked across in the channel I’d say there was a solid turn up of surfers.
Canggu ; The boys from Home Base through off doing the roadie up the coast this morning and with the Tradewind licking in early they probably made the right decision. So instead they settled for a quick trip back up to Canggu for waves in the waist to shoulder high range.
Uluwatu has the biggest waves on offer today one of my friends phoned in to say that wave height was hitiing the main Peak section in the shoulder to head high plus range. But as usual when the surf is tame there was a solid turn up with 50+ surfers in the water at 10.00am.
Weather wise out there it’s all pure holiday weather with nothing but blue sky and sunshine. Our expected top temperature around this part of the island is heading for a high of 32 degree’s Celsius. While the water temp is also pretty well perfect at 23 degree’s Celsius.
Swell Forecast ; Well just for a quick summary I see it as getting a small boost in wave height on Tuesday and backing back off a touch Wednesday. Then sometime around Thursday we get a better looking swell producing system hitting the island of Bali. Then further out again Saturday see’s another swell filling in for the weekend.
