****MORNING SURF UP-DATE**** Good morning to all you surfers tuning into the baliwaves this morning for another dose of Bali surf and weather info. These current photos we have up at the moment were taken by Scotto up at Padma St on yesterdays High Tide. As ya’s can see there was some serious rippers on the famous sand bank of Padma St and some nice little waves as well.
Ok then lets get down to bisness this mornings 7.00am surf recon of the Outer Reefs to me was showing similar sized waves as we had yesterday but with a better frequency. Around the 2-3ft range between Kuta Reef and Airport Left, with a slightly bigger set wave every now and then.
Tidewise we had a 0.5mtr Low at 8.00am and then we’ll have a mid range (middle of the moon phase) 2.0mtr High around the 2.00pm mark. Wind direction is coming outta the ESE-SE with some heavy gusts of up to 15-18knot.
Kuta Reef was showing some form earlier even when the tide was still a bit too low, breaking in the waist to shoulder high class. KR should improve as the tide rolls back in.
Middle Reef had a solid crowd on it at 7.00am but it was breaking consistently in the shoulder to head high plus range.
Airport Left wasn’t picking up as much swell as KR or Middle’s but there’ll still be a few waves out there in the waist to chest high range around midday.
Beach breaks , you’ll be able to find plenty of fun sized waves back along the Kuta to Legian stretch of sand again today with the optimum time to fime em being on the top of the tide.
The boys from here at Home base have gone searching for some action down along the Bukit this morning. And I’d say there’s a big chance for them to come back red eyed and surfed out. Steve Walsh is down there with em and has his monster 22mega pixel SLR so we should have some more photos from Stevo later this afternoon. Dewa Made has also take the video camera so expect some New Video clips as well.
Ok and starting from today (a bit later, give me a break..) we’ll be bringing ya’s photos / reports and all sorts of stuff straight outta G-Land from the G-land surf camp. So there ya go we are doing our best to bring as much of Indonesia to ya’s.
Weather wise out there today we have another great day to be on holiday here in Bali. Blue sky and sunshine heading for a top temperature along the beachs of 32 degree’s Celsius
Changing dollars to Rupiah on the streets of Kuta you’ll find that; –1AUD=Rp8,175 –US$=9,100 –1EU=Rp13,775.
Swell Forecast ; Well just for a quick summary I see it as getting a small boost in wave height on Tuesday and backing back off a touch Wednesday. Then sometime around Thursday we get a better looking swell producing system hitting the island of Bali. Then further out again Saturday see’s another swell filling in for the weekend.
G-land, drop us an email if you want to cash in on the 10% discount offer at the G-Land surf camp.
I’ve also dropped another 160 photos into the July Surfing Gallery so take a look at those while your waiting for the Video’s. The boys from Kandui Surfing resort in the Mentawai’s have also sent us some sick sick photos of there recent swell and you’ll find those on there surf report page. Plus the crew from Macaroni’s Surf resort have also sent us new photos and surf reports from their part of the Ments.
And just a reminder that we still have some baliwaves.com T-Shirts and FREE stickers available for ya’s here in Bali so drop me a line.
We also have a NEW Home Base guest house close by to Airport Left and the other breaks of the Outer Reefs, 5 min walk. The rooms are AU$16.00 for a room with big double bed and AU$30.00 for a twin share room.

Finally, I just wanna refresh ya’s about what baliwaves.com is all about. We’re not trying to flog ya’s surf trips or sell ya’s anything for that matter, we’re just trying to show ya’s how good it is here in Bali / Indonesia for a surfing holiday. We want you guys to come over and have a ball and then go back home and tell your friends how good it is.
