Kandui Surf Resort Sep 8th surf report
We got up early to check Bankvaults. The swell was definitely bigger, but there was a west wind on it and many of the guys choose to surf Nipusi were it was cleaner. After an hour or so the conditions began to clean up and we paddled out at Bankvaults. It was a little thick and chunky, but there were some good waves.
Eventually, the winds went west again and we headed back for lunch. In the
afternoon, the winds went north again and we headed back to Bankvaults. It was
super good again! It was even bigger than yesterday and conditions were near
perfect again. Waves were well over double overhead. We had a great time and
surfed until dark. Looking for a little smaller surf tomorrow.
Kandui Surf Resort Sep 7th surf report
It was still pretty small out front this morning. We headed out and could see that
it was pretty small at Nipusi too so we keep going and ended up at Burgerworld. It
was still overhead there, as it always seems to be, and all of us had a great time.
In the afternoon, we were all pretty tired from our long session at Burgerworld, but
we mustered up enough ambition to at least check out Bankvaults as the winds had gone north. We watched it for 10 minutes or so and we were just about to head back for some Happy Hour Bintangs, but then they came. Four or five overhead waves that peeled and spit down the reef. The swell was here! The anchor was down in a heartbeat and we were in the lineup in record time. Conditions were near perfect with light offshore winds. It was inconsistent, but when they came in they were really nice, and some were going four feet overhead or more. We all got some nice ones before the sun went down. We are expecting bigger swell tomorrow.
