****MORNING SURF UP-DATE**** Hello to all the Indo veterans tuning in and a special hello to all you surfers getting ready for your first trip over to surfers paradise called Bali. And possibly the best surf trip of your life !
Ok this morning at 7.00am there’s still plenty of waves to choose from on the Outer Reefs here in Tuban, with height still pushing through at 3-4ft+ between Kuta Reef and Airport Left.
Surfing conditions couldn’t get much better, clean and smooth with only a light off-shore 2-4knot ESE wind. That may increase in strength through out the day.
Tide wise the first of our tides was a 1.8mtr High @ 7.00am and then running out for a 0.7mtr Low around 1.30pm.
Kuta Reef was very clean and tidy with wave height peeling off in the chest to head high plus range. But there was a bit of a wait between the bigger set waves. At the time there was around 15 surfers in the line-up.
Middle Reef was picking up the lions share of the swell today with waves height easily a few feet over head and very consistent. There looked to be at least a dozen surfers on it this morning. Middle’s will only improve as the tide continues to run out.
Airport Left was similar in size to KR, breaking in the chest to head high plus range.
Airport Right , with this mornings light wind and coinciding high tide there woulda had to have been some nice little waves around the other side of the airport runway.
Uluwatu , our phone through surf report from down there this morning was calling wave height in the head to head high plus range. There was only 10 surfers in the water at 7.00am.
Weather wise around this part of the island we had a few drops of rain earlier to start the day off. Right now at 8.30am the sky is still clouded over but hopefully by midday to early afternoon we should get back to blue sky and sunshine.
Swell Forecast (10th – 16th) So the predictors are calling for wave height to be tapering off today through till Saturday. Then with the Full Moon set to rise on Sunday the 14th we will start to see a new swell generator producing some medium sized waves peaking on Monday the 15th. Then right behind her we have another system that will kick back in around the 17th. So it’s looking real good with plenty of waves and locations on offer over the coming week.
