****MIDDAY SURF UP-DATE**** Welcome back to the baliwaves.com for your daily dose of Bali surf and weather medicine. And as ya’s can see after one look at these current photos I shot down at Uluwatu this morning it’s still cranking !
My first surf check at 7.00am was on the Outer Reefs here in Tuban and showing wave height still ranging between 2-3ft+ between Kuta Reef and Airport Left.
Surfing conditions were clean and smooth with the assistance of a light ESE off-shore wind.
Tide wise the first of our tides today was a 1.9mtr High @ 8.00am and then well be in for a 0.6mtr Low around the 2.30pm mark.
Kuta Reef , wave height had dropped off on KR this morning but there were still a few smallies coming through in the 2-2ft+ range but with a bit of a wait for the bigger set waves to show.
Middle Reef was still a bit too fat and full with the 8.00am High Tide but was showing form in the 2-3ft range and would be improving through the afternoon.
Airport Left was picking up the better surf this morning and wave height was a fairly consistent 2-3ft+.
Uluwatu as any man can see (latest photos) was the place to be today. Unless of course you were wanting to learn to surf and then you’d be safer down along the beach breaks of Kuta to Legian. Wave height down at Uluwatu was still pushing the 3-4ft+ range on average with the occasional 5-6ft freak set. Around 60 surfers spread out between the Temple and racetrack sections and plenty of waves to go round.
Impossible’s was looking ok as I passed by on the way back to Home Base. Wave height was in the 2-3ft+ range and plenty of lines bending down the reef.
Weather wise it was a scorcher down on the Bukit this morning. I packed up my gear around 12.00 noon and the temperature woulda have to have been around 33-34 degree’s Celsius outta the shade.
Swell Forecast (10th – 16th) So the predictors are calling for wave height to be tapering off today through till Saturday. Then with the Full Moon set to rise on Sunday the 14th we will start to see a new swell generator producing some medium sized waves peaking on Monday the 15th. Then right behind her we have another system that will kick back in around the 17th. So it’s looking real good with plenty of waves and locations on offer over the coming week.
G-Land ; thanks to the G-land Surf Camp for sending us some new photos from G-land. And you can take a look at those on the G-Land page under the report section. You can also drop us an email if you want to cash in on the 10% discount offer at the G-Land surf camp

The rooms are AU$16.00 for a room with big double bed and AU$30.00 for a twin share room
Bali Fishing New’s ; I finally got around to loading up some of the photos I’ve taken of some of the fish we’ve caught over the last 4 weeks. Plus a bit of a run down on what we’ve been up to. You can find that on our Fishing Report Page in the Reports Menue.
Exchange Rates ; Well the way the Australian dollar has been crashing the last couple of weeks it’s been hard to say what it’s doing today but it would be still ranging between Rp7,600 – Rp7,700 depending on location. While the US$ is still pretty stable at Rp9,150.
And just a reminder that we still have some original baliwaves.com T-Shirts (AU$13.00) and FREE stickers available for ya’s here in Bali so drop me a line.

Money saver tip #752 : Anyone wanting to get out on a 3 island 7 day boat charter to Lembongan, Lombok and Sumbawa drop me a line cause I was talking to an operator last night and he’s offering the all inclusive trips for just AU$600.00 !!!
