Kandui Surf Resort Sep 15th surf report
It was bigger this morning, but the winds were blowing pretty hard from the
northeast. We knew Nipusi was probably alright, but we also knew it would probably be busy being the only wave around with good conditions so we gave it a pass. The swell filled in more as the day went on and 4 Bobs was pretty fun, even with the side shore winds. Some of our guys surfed Rifles in the afternoon. It was
overhead, but the north winds that were then blowing were roughing it up a bit. Our guy’s fortitude paid off as the winds died with about a half hour left of light and
they got some good waves with only two others out. Good job! They were more man that me to stick it out when the winds were bad. They earned those barrels.
Probably looking at bigger waves tomorrow with, hopefully, better conditions
Kandui Surf Resort Sep 14th surf report
It was looking small out front this morning. As we were getting ready to look for
surf, the winds began to blow from the west. Although we knew it was probably too big a swell to surf Burgerworld, it was that or small 4 Bobs with those winds so we chose Burgerworld. Indeed, it was too big for that spot so we were duck diving
waves more than we would like, but we got a few fun ones in-between sets. In the
afternoon the winds were still blowing west and the surf was still pretty small out
front with a boat on it at this point, so we went back to Burgerworld in hopes that
the high tide might make it a bit better than this morning. Wrong! The swell was
even a bit bigger and it was basically a paddle and duck dive fest, but we still
managed to get a few. The guys that stayed and surfed 4 Bobs faired better with
good conditions and the occasional shoulder high wave coming through. Looking for bigger swell tomorrow.
