****MIDDAY SURF UP-DATE**** Howdy folks and welcome back for another wrap on todays surfing and weather conditions around Bali today.
My first surf check (6.45am) on the Outer Reefs here in Tuban was showing another drop in wave height between Kuta Reef and Airport Left. Today wave height is only breaking in the 1-3ft range.
Wind direction has been all over the shop varying from SE to N, back to SE and now at 11.00am it still appears to becoming outta the SSE @ 2-4knot.
Tide wise the first of todays tides was a 0.8 @ 11.00am and then we’ll have a pretty poor old 1.3mtr High @ 5.0pm
Kuta Reef was too small and only just breaking in the 1-1ft+ range, but there was a couple of surfers out there making the most of the uncrowded little waves.
Middle Reef was still producing some fun waves in the chest to head high class and every now and then there was a slightly bigger on coming through.
Airport Left was breaking the most consistently with wave height on the sets in the head high range. But every wave I watched come through had at least 5 surfers paddling for it.
Canggu , as ya’s can see in these latest photos Scott has pulled outta the hat for us was looking ok and here’s what Scott had to say on surfing conditions up there this morning.
I was headed up to Canggu today at 6:30am. On arrival there was some nice waves coming through in the 2-4ft range. Conditions were clean and glassy with little to no wind. There was already a crew of about 20 on the river mouth and about a dozen on each of the other two peaks. Body boarders had taken over the sandbar and as the tide was running out got some deep barrels. There was a few taking on the reef but from my vantage point up the beach it was not really doing its thing. Further south there was a strong crew sitting out the back catching the waves just south of the three main peaks that make up Canggu.
I was only on site for a couple of hours but conditions were looking pretty good wave wise up Canggu. The waves were still coming in when I left at 9am and the wind was only just starting to blow. The weather is clear with plenty of blue sky so its just another great day in paradise. Till nex time Scott.
Weather wise it’s been a good day to be here on holiday in Bali with nothing but blue sky and sunshine. Heading for a top temperature of around 32 degree’s Celisus. Our water temperature is just as good and perfect for a swim or surf ay 23 degree’s Celsius.
Swell Forecast (21st – 27th) The swell that we currently have is expected to slowly taper off in size over this week and by Thursday back in the 2-4ft range depending on location. Then on Friday we should see a new medium sized swell appear on the reefs around Friday producing more waves through the weekend.
