****MORNING SURF UP-DATE**** Good morning people and thanks for dropping into the baliwaves for your daily run down on surfing and weather conditions here on your favourite surfing holiday destination of Bali.
Ok so I was down on the beach taking in surfing conditions on the Outer Reefs at 6.45am and like it says in our sell forecast wave height had dropped off more from yesterday and currently showing in the 1-2ft+ range between Kuta Reef and Airport Left.
Wind direction is coming outta the WNW @ 1-3knot+ and will more than likely swing further around to the West through the morning. Hopefully by midday to early afternoon she’ll be kind and turn back to the SSE like it did yesterday afternoon.
Tides ; The first of our tides today is going to be a 0.8mtr Low around midday and then on ly running back in for another small 1.mtr High around sun down.
Not much happening surfwise on the Outer Reefs this morning with only some waist to chest high plus sized waves breaking on Middle Reef and there were a few surfers on em when I was on the beach.
Best Bet for a wave today will be down on the southern end of the island, Uluwatu on the West Coast and Nusa Dua over on the East Coast. You might also find some ok waves up at Keramas and for those who hit the road before sun rise Balian would have had a few.
Weather wise this morning we are off to a cloudy start but hopefully by mid morning lunch time we’ll be back to basking in the sunshine. Heading for an expected top temperature of around 0 degree’s on the Celsius scale.
Beach Extension Project ; Well the sandthat is being pumped onto the beach is getting closer and closer. I have posted quite a few photos of whats been happening in regards to this project and I’m going to head back down there later this morning and take some more to give you a better idea of the extent of this project.
Swell Forecast (21st – 27th) The swell that we currently have is expected to slowly taper off in size over this week and by Thursday back in the 2-4ft range depending on location. Then on Friday we should see a new medium sized swell appear on the reefs around Friday producing more waves through the weekend.
I also just wanna refresh ya’s about what baliwaves.com is all about. We’re not trying to flog ya’s surf trips or sell ya’s anything for that matter, we’re just trying to show ya’s how good it is here in Bali / Indonesia for a surfing holiday. We want you guys to come over and have a ball and then go back home and tell your friends how good it is.
G-Land ; thanks to the G-land Surf Camp for sending us some new photos from G-land. And you can take a look at those on the G-Land page under the report section. You can also drop us an email if you want to cash in on the 10% discount offer at the G-Land surf camp

We also have a NEW Home Base guest house close by to Airport Left and the other breaks of the Outer Reefs, 5 min walk. This place is more private and spacious with big air conditioned rooms, hot and cold water, tv and plenty of off street parking all enclosed in Balinese style. The rooms are AU$16.00 for a room with big double bed and AU$30.00 for a twin share room
Bali Fishing New’s ; I finally got around to loading up some of the photos I’ve taken of some of the fish we’ve caught over the last 4 weeks. Plus a bit of a run down on what we’ve been up to. You can find that on our Fishing Report Page in the Reports Menue.
Exchange Rates ; Well the way the Australian dollar has been crashing the last couple of weeks it’s been hard to say what it’s doing today but it would be still ranging between Rp7,450 – Rp7,500 depending on location. While the US$ is still pretty stable at Rp9,150.
And just a reminder that we still have some original baliwaves.com T-Shirts (AU$13.00) and FREE stickers available for ya’s here in Bali so drop me a line.
Don’t forget if any of you lot want to grab some photos or video footage surfing here in Bali and we can easily arrange it for ya. Or if ya check out the Wotashot.com banner you might even find a photo of you on your last trip to Bali.
