****MORNING SURF UP-DATE**** Hello surfers and welcome to your baliwaves.com for the total package surf and weather report.
Well this morning I was rudely awoken by the sound of torrential rain poundingon the roof. That was around 4.00am and she never let up until around 6.00am. So my first surf check went down at 6.15am while bailing out the water from my little outrigger boat.
No improvement in wave height on the Outer Reefs with only the occasional 1-2 footer breaking between Kuta Reef and Airport left. Hopefully we’ll start to see some new swell starting to show out there by later this afternoon.
Wind direction was swinging around between the N-NW-WNW and on-shore at 1-5knot between Kuta and Uluwatu. But it woulda been clean and tidy from Canggu all the way up to Medewi.Likewise over on the east Coast.
Tides ; The first of those today will be a 1,8mtr High @ 7.00am and then we’ll have a 0.7mtr Low around 1.30pm
Looking for a wave today ; well if you found anything half decent yesterday my advice would be to go back there again today !
Weather wise like I said, heavy rain through the early AM and still the odd shower or two about at the moment (9.00am) The sky has lightened up a some but I wouldn’t count on seeing any sunshine until early afternoon.
Beach Extension Project ; Well the sandthat is being pumped onto the beach is getting closer and closer. I have posted quite a few photos of whats been happening in regards to this project and I’m going to head back down there later this morning and take some more to give you a better idea of the extent of this project. You’ll find the photos in our Kuta Cam Gallery.

Swell Forecast (21st – 27th) The swell that we currently have is expected to slowly taper off in size over this week and by Thursday back in the 2-4ft range depending on location. Then on Friday we should see a new medium sized swell appear on the reefs around Friday producing more waves through the weekend.
