Kandui Surf Resort Sep 25th surf report
It was looking small out front this morning. The winds were blowing out of the
southeast again. We decided to wait and hope for a wind switch. It came just
before noon when the wind started blowing north. We packed a lunch this time and got right on it. By the time we got to Nipusi, the winds were out of the west so we battled pouring rain to get to Burgerworld. By the time we got there, the clouds
parted but the winds went back north! So back to Nipusi we went! When we got
there, no one was out and conditions were good. We had it for a quite a while by
ourselves, then a boat showed up and we decided to head home. We are probably looking at a little bump up in the swell tomorrow and then a really nice one arrives starting Saturday.
Kandui Surf Resort Sep 24th surf report
Our swell pretty much dropped off the map overnight. The wind was blowing out of
the southeast and that was messing up the spots that could pull in what was left of
the swell. Some of the guys surfed Beng Beng in the morning, but it was pretty
small. Some others surfed 4 Bobs. The winds began to slow down and then turned to blow from the north. We were a little lazy with lunch just about ready and all, so we didn’t get to Nipusi until mid afternoon, but that worked out for us because the three boats that were there all had plans and left the place empty for us just as we arrived. Stoke! The waves were still well overhead and conditions were good. We surfed until dark. Expecting the swell to drop even further tomorrow.
Kandui Surf Resort Sep 23rd surf report
The swell was smaller this morning, but still solid. There was only a breath of
west wind blowing so we checked Rifles first thing. There were still some sets
going several feet overhead and it was nice and clean. The tide was higher than
yesterday afternoon and it was a lot less sketchy. Unfortunately, smaller and less
sketchy opened the door for a lot more takers as well so it was a bit busy. Most of
our guests choose to surf John Candy’s, which was about as good as it gets. It was double overhead on some sets and really clean. It was pretty much just our crew out there and they had a lot of fun. The guys surfed there and Karambat left and 4 Bobs all day. It was all looking good. Later in the afternoon, the tide dropped and so did the crowd at Rifles so we got out there and got some sick ones with just a few guys out. The swell was still looking good, but they say it will drop off quickly for tomorrow.
Kandui Surf Resort Sep 22nd surf report
The swell was definitely showing this morning. The sets at 4 Bobs were well
overhead. The winds were out of the southeast at about 10 mph or so, and that
counted out Rifles. We swung around and checked out Kandui’s. There was enough west in the swell for some energy to wrap in there so some of our guys surfed that. It was overhead and, of course, barreling. Since the winds were good at Hideaways also, some of our other guest surfed there with the same results. And some of our other guests went to Beng Beng where it was about head high and clean as well. Late morning, the winds went northeast and that blew out Kandui’s and Hideaway’s so we gathered up everybody and went to a simi-secrect spot that takes that wind and a big south swell. It was alright over there. Sets were well overhead and barreling left and right. The left is better, but it empties out on to dry coral. Yikes! We had a good time but the tide was going out and it got pretty sketchy after a while so we bailed. The wind was tuning more
west anyway so it was time to check Rifles. It was big there, double overhead
plus, but the tide was a little low. There were not many takers, but the ones that
did got some good ones. The rest surfed out in front of the resort where every
spot was pretty much bombing and good. Looking for he swell to drop through
tomorrow.
