****MORNING SURF UP-DATE**** Hello friends of Bali and welcome back for another round of Bali surf and weather info courtesy of the baliwaves.com original and first daily surf and weather report
And it’s a great looking Sunday coming on for the lucky people here on holidays. I was down on the beach at 7.00am this morning for a surf recon of the Outer Reefs and wave height was appearing to be holding on in the 2-4ft+ range between Kuta Reef and Airport Left. But by 10.0am the set waves were getting further and further apart and slowing dropping off in size back into the 2-3ft+ sector.
Wind direction was coming ever so cleanly outta the ESE, blowing straight off-shore between Kuta and Uluwatu @ 5-10knot.
Tide wise the first of our tides today was a 2.0mtr High @ 10.00am and then she’ll be running out for a 0.4mtr Low around 4.00pm. And with the New Moon rising tomorrow we’ll start to see some more of those bigger tidal ranges between the high and low.
Kuta Reef at the time was breaking with nice shape and length of ride in the 2-4ft range but with at least 40+ surfers in the water at 7.00am. But then as the high tide peaked wave height backed down into the 2-3ft and the crowd also backed off to around 30 surfers.
Middle Reef was still producing some solid set waves through the early morning, up to double head high on the biger ones. Hard to tell how many surers were out there but my guess woulda been around 25.
Airport left was breaking in the 2-3ft+ range but while I was on the beach I watched boat load after boat load of Japanese surfers making an assult on it.
I haven’t had any reports in from anywhere else yet this morning but Uluwatu would have to have been cranking in the head to double head high class. And it’s a sure bet that the Racetrack will be tubing it’s face off through the afternoon low tide.
Weather wise , 10 / 10
Photo update ; I also manages to shoot some body boarders going off down at Uluwatu yesterday and I finally got 10 new photos loaded onto the BB surf report page. It is in fact 10 frames of 1 wave out of a 20 shot sequence. I have always given credit when credit is due, and this guy was ripping in body boarding terms.
I also just wanna refresh ya’s about what baliwaves.com is all about. We’re not trying to flog ya’s surf trips or sell ya’s anything for that matter, we’re just trying to show ya’s how good it is here in Bali / Indonesia for a surfing holiday. We want you guys to come over and have a ball and then go back home and tell your friends how good it is.
G-Land ; thanks to the G-land Surf Camp for sending us some new photos from G-land. And you can take a look at those on the G-Land page under the report section. You can also drop us an email if you want to cash in on the 10% discount offer at the G-Land surf camp

We also have a NEW Home Base guest house close by to Airport Left and the other breaks of the Outer Reefs, 5 min walk. This place is more private and spacious with big air conditioned rooms, hot and cold water, tv and plenty of off street parking all enclosed in Balinese style. The rooms are AU$16.00 for a room with big double bed and AU$30.00 for a twin share room
Bali Fishing New’s ; I finally got around to loading up some of the photos I’ve taken of some of the fish we’ve caught over the last 4 weeks. Plus a bit of a run down on what we’ve been up to. You can find that on our Fishing Report Page in the Reports Menue.
Exchange Rates ; Well the way the Australian dollar has been crashing the last couple of weeks it’s been hard to say what it’s doing today but it would be still ranging between Rp7,650 – Rp7,700 depending on location. While the US$ is still pretty stable at Rp9,150.
And just a reminder that we still have some original baliwaves.com T-Shirts (AU$15.00) and FREE stickers available for ya’s here in Bali so drop me a line.
Don’t forget if any of you lot want to grab some photos or video footage surfing here in Bali and we can easily arrange it for ya. Or if ya check out the Wotashot.com banner you might even find a photo of you on your last trip to Bali.
Money saver tip #752 : Anyone wanting to get out on a 3 island 7 day boat charter to Lembongan, Lombok and Sumbawa drop me a line cause I was talking to an operator last night and he’s offering the all inclusive trips for just AU$600.00 !!! Start organizing your crew now for the recommencement of these charters in March 08. Better still charter the boat privately with up to 10 of your friends for AU$6,000. all inclusive.
If it’s somewhere a little more private you’r looking for take a look at the private bungalow for rent we have in our Business Directory and drop the owner Michael Owen an email.
