Kandui Surf Resort Aug 30th surf report
The winds were still blowing west this morning and the boys headed for Burgerworld, hoping to repeat the good session they had yesterday afternoon. But, like so often is the case, that kind of luck doesn’t happen twice in a row. There were several boats on it, one loaded with pros, then the wind switched and it went onshore! They surfed anyway and they had fun, but it went down as a forgettable session. But, as so often is the case as well, all the boats ended up leaving and in the afternoon the winds went west again and our guys were on it! They had an even better session than yesterday and no one was out! Sweet. Our new guests arrived late in the afternoon and got a quick session at 4 Bobs. Chest high sets and clean. It was enough to put a smile on their faces after all that traveling. Forecasters are saying bigger surf is in store for the next few days.
Kandui Surf Resort Aug 29th surf report
The winds were blowing out of the northeast this morning. We headed straight for
the Bankvaults/Nipusi area. It was a bit busy over there with a few boats on it,
but conditions were clean and the waves were overhead on the sets. One by one
people started getting out and before long it was just the Kandui crew out at
Bankvaults. And for about a half hour or so it seemed like it picked up a foot or
two and we all got some good barrels. It seemed to be the last gasp of the swell
because it went pretty small after that and we headed back. Our second boat went to Beng Beng and they got some fun, shoulder high waves and they surfed for hours with only a handful of people joining them from time to time. In the afternoon, the swell had really dropped, then suddenly the winds went west so we high tailed it to Burgerworld. It was a good choice because no one was out and it was clean and fun. One boat showed up, but there were plenty of waves for
everybody. It was a nice treat considering the dropping swell. We are expecting
the swell to drop further tomorrow.
