****MIDDAY SURF UP-DATE**** Howdy folks and welcome back to the baliwaves.com for more photos and info on todays surfing and weather conditions straight from your favourite surfing holiday destination of Bali.
Well slowly but surely things are finally starting to get back to normal for old Slim. Today I only just got time for a quick surf check on the Outer Reefs here in Tuban before Devis Ratif (Quicksilver Indonesia) was calling me telling me to be ready to roll in 5 minutes to Canggu.
Wave height between Kuta Reef and Airport Left had dropped off a touch and only showing in the 1-2ft+ range. But never the less surfing conditions were clean and smooth with ESE off-shore wind at 2-4knot.
By the time Devis and I made it to Canggu the wind had already started to pick up and now getting up to 5-8knot, still coming outta the ESE. But this off-shore everywhere else (south west coast) type wind means cross / on-shore at Canggu.
As usual at Canggu there was no shortage of surfers with around 25 – 30 riding the right hander, 20 surfers on the sand bar left hander and another dozen or so riding the left straight out in front of the warungs.
Surfing conditions were still reasonably clean even though the wind was gearing up and the tide just starting to run out from a 1.8mtr high @ 8.00AM. Local stand out surfers were of course Devis Ratif and his friends “Bol†and Tipi.
Weather wise today more very hot and humid conditions and where I was shooting from out in the open on the black sanded beach of Canggu the temperature musta been around 34 degree’s Celsius but the time I packed up at 11.00AM.
