****EVENING SURF UP-DATE**** Howdy folks and better late than never, and I suppose it really depends on where abouts you are in the World wether it’s morning or evening anyway. But all the same thanks for dropping by the baliwaves.com to check on whats happening surf and weather wise here on the holiday island of Bali.
Well to tell ya’s the truth there’s not a lot happening for the serious surfer out on the reefs today. Wave height here on the Outer Reefs of Tuban is only just showing in the 1-2 foot between Kuta Reef and Airport Left, and the two footers are the freak sets.
Surfing conditions are perfect with clean off-shore wind coming outta the ESE @ 4-8knot.
Tide wise the first of our tides todays was a 0.4mtr Low @ 9.00AM and then we had a High of 1.6mtrs @ 3.00PM
Looking for wave today , well the boys from Home Base all hit the road for Uluwatu and reckoned for the size it wasn’t too bad down there on the Main Peak as the tide was on the run back in. Wave height was coming through in the waist to head high class with close on 100 surfers spread out between the Temple and Racetrack sections.
Weather wise , more blue sky and sunshine was the order for beach lovers today, with the temperature a very warm 34 degree’s Celsius.
Ok so there’s not a lot happening surf wise here in Bali at the moment and not much chance of it picking up anytime in the next few days either. But just to keep ya’s in the loop I’ll make the bike ride down to Uluwatu tomorrow and shoot some new photos for ya’s.
Photo Up-Date , The lads from the Macaroni Surf Resort have sent us in some new photos and news from there part of Indonesia. New surf reports from the Kandui Sur Resort and I’ll be checking in with the G-Land Surf Camp crew later this afternoon to see if they have anything for us.
I also just wanna refresh ya’s about what baliwaves.com is all about. We’re not trying to flog ya’s surf trips or sell ya’s anything for that matter, we’re just trying to show ya’s how good it is here in Bali / Indonesia for a surfing holiday. We want you guys to come over and have a ball and then go back home and tell your friends how good it is.
G-Land ; “SPECIAL OFFER FOR BALIWAVES.COM VIEWERS, 10% DISCOUNT†thanks to the G-land Surf Camp for sending us some new photos from G-land. And you can take a look at those on the G-Land page under the report section. You can also drop us an email if you want to cash in on the 10% discount offer at the G-Land surf camp.
Don’t forget you can drop us an email through the “Contact†link if you have any questions that might help your next vist to the holiday island run a bit smoother.
We also have a NEW Home Base guest house close by to Airport Left and the other breaks of the Outer Reefs, 5 min walk. This place is more private and spacious with big air conditioned rooms, hot and cold water, tv and plenty of off street parking all enclosed in Balinese style. The rooms are US$15.00 for a room with big double bed and US$28.00 for a twin share room
Bali Fishing New’s ; I finally got around to loading up some of the photos I’ve taken of some of the fish we’ve caught over the last 4 weeks. Plus a bit of a run down on what we’ve been up to. You can find that on our Fishing Report Page in the Reports Menue.
Exchange Rates ; Well the way the Australian dollar has been crashing the last couple of weeks it’s been hard to say what it’s doing today but it would be still ranging between Rp6,750 – Rp6,800 depending on location. While the US$=Rp9,800 give or take 50 Rupiah.
And just a reminder that we still have some original baliwaves.com T-Shirts (AU$15.00) and FREE stickers available for ya’s here in Bali so drop me a line.
Don’t forget if any of you lot want to grab some photos or video footage surfing here in Bali and we can easily arrange it for ya. Or if ya check out the Wotashot.com banner you might even find a photo of you on your last trip to Bali.
If it’s somewhere a little more private you’r looking for take a look at the private bungalow for rent we have in our Business Directory and drop the owner Michael Owen an email. Michael is one of the old school surfers who rubs shoulders with the likes of Gerry Lopez and Peter McCabe just to name a couple of Indo Legends.
Best Regards from the No.1 surfing holiday destination that’s got it all, BALI , see ya’s here in 2008
