****MIDDAY SURF UP-DATE**** Hello surfers and welcome back to your baliwaves for the most complete run down on surfing and weather conditions on your favourite surfing holiday destination of Bali.
This morning I was up with the sparrows and down check conditions on the Outer Reefs at 6.30AM. Wave height was still only pretty small only showing in the 1-2ft+ range between Kuta Reef and Airport left.
Surfing conditions wre also once again pristine with only a light Easterly off-shore wind blowing in the 2-5knott class.
Tide wise today the first was a 0.6mtr Low @ 9.30AM and then we will have a 1.6mtr High filling in later this afternoon around 3.30PM
The only section of the Outer Reefs that was surfable this morning was on Middle Reef and that’s where the boys from Home Base hit. Wave height was consistent in the chest high range but every now and then there would be a freak head high set peel off. Plus there were only half a dozen surfers out there.
Impossible’s had a few waist to chest high lines bending down the reef as the tide was pushing back in and I was on my way home.
Uluwatu where I snapped these current photos was breaking in the waist to head high class. When I first arrived the tide was just hitting the bottom of the low and the Racetrack was spinning off a few nice little tube rides for the 12 surfers that were in the water. As the tide started to run back in Temple’s started to deliver some long rides for the half a dozen crew that made the paddle. By the time I packed up at 12.00 noon the tide was well and truelly on the way in, by this time the number of surers was getting closer to 30 spread between Temple’s and the Racetrack.
Weather wise today nothing but blue sky and sunshine with a midday temperature of around 34 degree’s Celsius outta the shade.
Photo Up-Date , The lads from the Macaroni Surf Resort have sent us in some new photos and news from there part of Indonesia. New surf reports from the Kandui Sur Resort and I’ll be checking in with the G-Land Surf Camp crew later this afternoon to see if they have anything for us.

We’re not trying to flog ya’s surf trips or sell ya’s anything for that matter, we’re just trying to show ya’s how good it is here in Bali / Indonesia for a surfing holiday. Bali Fishing New’s ; I finally got around to loading up some of the photos I’ve taken of some of the fish we’ve caught over the last 4 weeks. Plus a bit of a run down on what we’ve been up to. You can find that on our Fishing Report Page in the Reports Menue.
Exchange Rates ; Well the way the Australian dollar has been crashing the last couple of weeks it’s been hard to say what it’s doing today but it would be still ranging between Rp6,750 – Rp6,800 depending on location. While the US$=Rp9,800 give or take 50 Rupiah.
And just a reminder that we still have some original baliwaves.com T-Shirts (AU$15.00) and FREE stickers available for ya’s here in Bali so drop me a line.
Don’t forget if any of you lot want to grab some photos or video footage surfing here in Bali and we can easily arrange it for ya. Or if ya check out the Wotashot.com banner you might even find a photo of you on your last trip to Bali.
If it’s somewhere a little more private you’r looking for take a look at the private bungalow for rent we have in our Business Directory and drop the owner Michael Owen an email. Michael is one of the old school surfers who rubs shoulders with the likes of Gerry Lopez and Peter McCabe just to name a couple of Indo Legends.
